A Nigerian man has shared how he was almost cheated at a fuel station after requesting N20,000 worth of fuel.

Before fueling even began, the meter was already showing N5,501. He quickly noticed and confronted the attendants, preventing what could have been a costly mistake.

The entire incident was captured using smart glasses, and the video has since sparked reactions online. Many Nigerians say this is a common trick used at filling stations, while others shared similar experiences in the comments.

Always make sure the meter is reset to zero before fueling starts.

That filling station (AP right) should do the needful and sack all the staff in the video it is obvious they are all involved.

They should even be arrested, audited and made to refund.

There was a business I was doing before. Where we bought, they would cheat us. Where we sold, they would also cheat us. Now, tell me how I was cheating. Palm oil business. The market women, traders have so many cunning ways to cheat you. Then, we would supply to a company using the scale which we knew their scale had been tampered with
