He was only stressing on the need to use their ammunitions optimally, and leave the heavy bombardment to the group with more sufisticated munitions and more reach to lessen the burden of the guys with lower reach, and lesser munitions.

The commander never said do not fire at boko haram because they have better weapons. He said conserve your ammunition so that the artillery - which are the more powerful guns he referenced, should clear the enemy positions.

This is because the enemy positions at this point were out of range of their rifles, but the artillery could shell them effectively at that range.

Nothing like waste of bullets on ground attack.

Even if you shot 30 bullets to kill one boko haram fighter, that's not a waste.

When your fire is heavier than their own, they will retreat or start running back while you gain ground.

In some attack especially in the forest, you don't see your enermy but you know the area they are hiding and keep firing till they retreat. When they run, you enter the forest/bush and discover some dead bodies.

How does Boko Haram bullets hit and kill them if you thought the military bullet don't reach the range of the terrorits?

I have not said anything like "the military bullet don't reach the range of the terrorits" and I don't know where you got such a nonsensical statement from. I said in this particular instance, the commander is stating that at that particular moment the enemy was out of range and they should not fire until they come into range.

I repeat: In this particular instance, and not in every single instance, the boko haram fighters were out of range. As you can clearly see from the video, no one is firing at the soldiers either.

He also explained to them that they have heavier guns that can fire on boko haram so they should not waste ammo when the artillery corps can do the job effectively.

It's not something difficult to understand.

Now we are gradually knowing who the real enemies are. The mumu commander should kuku say "don't shoot, just wait for boko haram to kill all of you".
