Nnamdipapa:I'm not justifying it, but let everyone condemn it equally.. that is my point, how can Iran be saying deat to Israel deat to America and people see it as normal... Let's separate civilians from their governments during war |

Iran the terrorists nation should be blamed. IDF are in your airspace day and night , pounding and raping the IRGC with tactical airstrikes , yet the Terrorists regime chose to knock their neighbors on the head ![]() |

DeepSight:Oga what's your point here? At least the US has an excuse for their war with Iran. What is Iran's excuse for trying to crash the global economy and make you poor? You and I and fighting then I turn around and start hitting everyone around including those sympathetic to me, how am I not a terrorist? Again, nuclear weapons or not, Iran had this coming. Their first action after their revolution in 1979 was to kidnap 80 US embassy staff. Since then, they have sponsored bombing and killings of US citizens all across the middle east. The US had more than 10 reasons to take them out. |

1. IRGC Missile Strike on Erbil, Iraq (January 2024) Targeting an Israeli "Spy Base": The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it had destroyed a headquarters belonging to Israel's Mossad intelligence agency in Erbil. Iran alleged this facility was a center for developing espionage operations and planning terrorist acts in the region and inside Iran. The strike was a response to recent terrorist crimes, specifically the ISIS-claimed twin bombings in Kerman, Iran (January 2024) and an attack on a police station in Rask, Iran (December 2023). 2. Cross-Border Strike in Balochistan, Pakistan (January 2024) Targeting Anti-Iran Militants: Iran stated the missile and drone strike was aimed at Jaish al-Adl (the "Army of Justice" , a Sunni Baloch militant group it considers a terrorist organization. Iran accused the group of launching cross-border attacks on Iranian security forces from its bases inside Pakistani territory. The strike in Pakistan was part of a broader pattern of Iranian retaliation following the Kerman bombings and the attack on the Rask police station, demonstrating a policy of striking targets it deemed responsible for threats against its national security, regardless of their location. 3. Operation True Promise II (October 2024) Retaliation for Assassinations of Key Figures: Iran explicitly stated the large-scale missile attack on Israel as retaliation for a series of high-profile killings attributed to Israel, including: The assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas, in Tehran. The killing of Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut. The death of Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan, a senior IRGC commander, who was killed alongside Nasrallah. The attacks were also an act of self-defense and a necessary response to violations of Iran's sovereignty and the assassination of its allies and personnel on foreign soil. 4. Israel's Retaliatory Strike on Iran (October 2024) Note: This incident was an Israeli strike on Iran, not an Iranian operation. However, it is included as it was the direct consequence of Operation True Promise II. Iran's justification here relates to its response to the Israeli action. Right to Self-Defense (Implied): Following the Israeli strike on October 26, 2024, Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stated that the Israeli attack "should neither be downplayed nor exaggerated" but stopped short of ordering an immediate retaliatory strike. However, Iran's leadership consistently asserts its inherent right to self-defense under international law and has historically justified retaliatory actions as a response to any military aggression against its territory or sovereignty. This principle forms the backdrop for any potential future response to such attacks. Iran's army reported that four soldiers were killed in the Israeli strikes. 1. Precursor Attacks to the IRGC Strike on Erbil & Pakistan (Jan 2024) Iran's strikes in Iraq and Pakistan were framed as retaliation for terrorist attacks inside Iran, rather than attacks on Iranian assets abroad. Kerman Bombings (January 2024): On January 3, 2024, two explosions occurred near the grave of General Qasem Soleimani in Kerman, Iran, during a commemorative event. The attack was claimed by the Islamic State (ISIS). It resulted in the deaths of 94 people and injured 284 others, making it one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in Iran's history . Rask Police Station Attack (December 2023): On December 15, 2023, the militant group Jaish al-Adl attacked a police station in Rask, Sistan and Baluchestan province. The attack killed 11 Iranian police officers . 2. Precursor Attacks to Operation True Promise I (April 2024) Iran's first direct attack on Israeli territory in April 2024, named "Operation True Promise," was a direct response to an Israeli airstrike. Israeli Airstrike on Iranian Consulate in Damascus (April 1, 2024): Israel bombed the Iranian embassy compound in Damascus, Syria. The attack destroyed the consulate building and killed 16 people, including: Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a senior commander in the IRGC Quds Force . Brigadier General Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi, another senior IRGC commander . Five other IRGC officers accompanying the generals . Syrian and Iranian security personnel and civilians. 3. Precursor Attacks to Operation True Promise II (October 2024) Iran's second direct attack on Israel was in retaliation for two high-profile assassinations attributed to Israel. Assassination of Ismail Haniyeh (July 31, 2024): Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas, was assassinated in Tehran, Iran, where he was attending the inauguration of the new Iranian president. The explosion killed both Haniyeh and his bodyguard, an Iranian national . Assassination of Hassan Nasrallah and Abbas Nilforoushan (September 27, 2024): An Israeli airstrike in Beirut, Lebanon, killed Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah. Killed alongside him in the same strike was Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan, a senior IRGC commander . |

Brendaniel:unfortunately it is inevitable. In most cases can not be avoided. The UAE knows what to do. If they claim their hands are tied, then they are not but subjects before the U.S forces. Where then is their sovereignty! Neutrality is all that is needed of them. Just as other world powers. Them dey stand for you soil dey throw me misiles, should they allow that at all. As brothers concerned oh! |

DeepSight:I already know you, everyone that disagrees with you is abomination and upside down. Question for you, be honest, how would you feel if the US and Israel are able to gain control of the Hormuz strait, restore global shipping and save the global economy? I can bet you will be pained. Here, the US and Israel victory is clearly tied to global victory but people like you would rather everything falls to pieces as long as the US and Iran don't win. |
| Re: Nigerians Among Over 140 Injured After Missile Strike On UAE by DeepSight(m): 1:39pm On Mar 17 |
tctrills:+ Of course not. I asked you a question about weapons of mass destruction and Iraq for a reason. You ignored the question. |
| Re: Nigerians Among Over 140 Injured After Missile Strike On UAE by tctrills: 1:55pm On Mar 17 |
DeepSight:Oh, I am completely against the US invading Iraq. It was unnecessary. But unlike you, I judge each event on its own merits. Again, the US did not kill millions in Iraq as you guys claim. In fact, it's a lazy Gen z claim. The most outlier studies estimate 1 million deaths and only about 35% were attributed to the coalition forces. Most of the deaths were Arab Muslims killing fellow Arab Muslims. Militias and insurgents killing their fellow Muslims just like the Iranians are doing today. |
| Re: Nigerians Among Over 140 Injured After Missile Strike On UAE by DeepSight(m): 2:00pm On Mar 17 |
tctrills:+ But the bold was the result of the US intervention, just the same way it led to civil war and unrest in other places like Libya and Syria for example (in the case of Syria to show you the extent of their evil hypocrisy, they ended up installing an Al Qaeda Chieftain and now dance and play with him). As for the red above, the point is that there is a history and a pattern which should not be ignored. Mind you in the case of Iraq and WMD, Bush and Blair went to the extent of getting a broad based international coalition, congress approval and even went to the United Nations. The war was still globally unpopular and there were protests across the globe against it, but they went ahead. In this instance, no congress approval, no discussion with allies to form any coalition, nothing. One man or rather two men just woke up and started and plunged the world into this mess and you are blaming the side who were suddenly attacked even in the middle of negotiation which Oman had confirmed was going very well in Geneva. |
| Re: Nigerians Among Over 140 Injured After Missile Strike On UAE by tctrills: 2:17pm On Mar 17 |
DeepSight:Let me explain what you are saying, you are taking away responsibility from others as you always do. You are blaming the US even when Muslims kill their fellow Muslims. Again you have shown that you don't know what happened in Syria. It's the opposite of what you are claiming. Obama refused to bring in the US directly. That was why Asad and his russian friends were able to crush the resistance and that also led to the rise of ISIS. Again, an Al Qaeda Chieftain taking power shows that the US did not interfere as you think. And it also shows great maturity that they can work with a formal enemy and invite him to the white house. To your second point, Yes there is a historic pattern of great nations invading weaker nations but we can't get too lazy. We must look at each through its own Len. Under the American law, Trump was completely in line. He broke no laws in declaring war on Iran without Congress and without his global partners. He needed the element of surprise and not bureaucracy. Lastly, you seem to know very little about the negotiation. If it was going as well as you claim, why was it extended twice without anything agreed upon? Please, let's use our brains here. Can you mention one thing from your Oman sources that was agreed on? Give me just one, I am listening. |

| Re: Nigerians Among Over 140 Injured After Missile Strike On UAE by DeepSight(m): 2:22pm On Mar 17 |
tctrills:+ I hate it when people make outrightly false statements with confidence. Look at the bold. That is just the opposite of the law in the the USA. Congress holds the power to declare war, the sole power, the president can only take the actions he has taken where there is an imminent threat and even then, after acting, he has to revert to congress. What kind of imminent threat against the USA EXISTED? NONE! What kind of imminent threat in the middle of on-going negotiations? |
| Re: Nigerians Among Over 140 Injured After Missile Strike On UAE by grandstar(m): 2:22pm On Mar 17 |
Brendaniel:I am neutral. The Iranian regime is a tyranny, and its people are tired of the Mullahs. Meanwhile, cocky Netanyahu is getting his bum kicked by Iran, big time. Israelis, who supported the genocide in Gaza are now having to taste what they face. My worry is that Israel has nukes and might decide to unleash one if pushed to the wall. That would not stop the missiles dropping on Israel as the Iranian military has been decentralised into 31 units, and each can independently of each other to forestal a situation like this. Any invading would need to take out all 31 units and not a centralized one. |
