‘Back Tinubu’ — Soludo Asks Igbo Not To Waste Their Votes In 2027 by SlavaUkraini(op): 6:17am On Mar 18
Chukwuma Soludo, governor of Anambra state, has asked people in the south-east to support President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election.

Soludo spoke on Tuesday during his second-term inauguration held at the Dr Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, the Anambra capital.

Onochie Anyachebelu, chief judge of Anambra state, administered the oath of office and allegiance to Soludo at 11:47 a.m.

Anyachebelu administered the oath of office and allegiance to Onyekachukwu Ibezim, deputy governor of the state, at 11:52 a.m.

The ceremony was attended by Vice-President Kashim Shettima and former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan.

Addressing the gathering, Soludo said the south-east should not “waste” its votes on alternative candidates in the next presidential election, adding that the region should, instead, back Tinubu.

Soludo noted that the political future of the Igbo remains important but suggested that the timing for producing a president of the south-east extraction is not immediate.

The governor said the region has confidence in Tinubu’s administration, citing what he described as positive changes affecting the south-east.

“President Tinubu is a cerebral, courageous and patriotic Nigerian. We trust him to make a major difference for Nigeria and the south-east,” he said.

Soludo also urged political opponents in Anambra to set aside their differences and work together for the development of the state.

While noting that political contests in the state have ended, he added that attention should now shift to governance.

In his remarks, Shettima praised Soludo’s leadership and described him as a public servant guided by ideas and integrity.

The vice-president reaffirmed the federal government’s readiness to work with the Anambra state government, adding that governance should prioritise the welfare of citizens above partisan considerations.

Shettima also urged residents to support the administration’s efforts to position Anambra as a key economic and investment destination in Nigeria.

Re: ‘Back Tinubu’ — Soludo Asks Igbo Not To Waste Their Votes In 2027 by McLizbae:
The SE politicians must unite in agreement that alignment with Tinubu is a promising pathway to future presidency.

What is simple and clear is: Tinubu currently has strong political control and followership in the SW and SS. SE presidency's alignment with Tinubu now, clearly promise entire southern support. Furthermore, the loyal support for an Igbo presidency can be more guaranteed in the entire south, because the southern region shares more than just the region. There are also fair share of culture, religion, ethnicity (especially through inter-marriages and inter-migration).

For the northern regions, even Tinubu is still struggling right now for sufficient and sustainable control. Personally, I think it will take a lot (much more than simple politics) to convince a core Northerner to cast his vote for a Christian Igbo president.

A full southern support may only require less work from the Northern regions, to achieve Igbo presidency.

Pee101:
Nonsense talk, when will it ever be the turn of the igbos.
Thats not nonsense talk if SE is still seriously interested in the presidency.

Soludo you are right. No right thinking person will go out to queue up just to vote for a demented thief like Peter Obi. All those who did it in 2023 all laboured in vain.

Only a senile person like Peter Obi will proudly say that he takes advice from mad men at Upper Iweka

Soludo, may have spoken the hard and inconceivable truth because the groundwork for rigging has been concluded by the outright rejection of realtime e-transmission of electoral results. The only person that can stop Emilokan in 2027 is God.

Tinubu has not solved any problem since 2023. Only propaganda everywhere.
Nigerians are poorer today.
On what basis should he be voted for?

We will never waste our votes on a complete failure like Tinubu

So let's back Tinubu for more insecurity

Let's back Tinubu for lower purchasing power

Let's back Tinubu for poor healthcare

Let's back Tinubu for dilapidated infrastructures

Let's back Tinubu for more out of school children and terrible educational centres.

Let's back Tinubu for more taxes that remove more money from the pockets of poor Nigerians

Let's back Tinubu to keep travelling all over the world with little or no investment.

Let's back Tinubu so that his entire family will continue to suck Nigerian resources dry

Let's back Tinubu for more ostentatious lifestyles while telling Nigerians to tighten their belt for more hardship

Who in his right sense will reward failure with another term and expect success?

I don't blame the likes of Soludo....I blame most Nigerians who are not angry enough but trying their best to endure or adjust!
When Nigerians are ready, the likes of Soludo will be scared to speak!

Wasting votes is actually voting for a professional own goal scorer for your team. He ends up with a team and scores 100 own goals which relegates the team.

Tinubu is like a professional own goal scorer. He's a master duplicate of poverty. Can't fight terrorists. Dude is so inept.

Igbo people won't be forced to vote for a failure like Tinubu.
