They should have been penalised on the pitch. Worst things had happened on the pitch in the past and referee's decision taken as final decision. Immediately the Senegalese team stopped playing, the referee should have awarded the match to Morocco and ended the match. Just that Africa referees lacks the guts needed to discipline players and teams on the pitch. Nonsense should not be tolerated on the pitch of football

Weak administrative and operational oversight on the day of the elections just as the referee could have been decisive that day and followed the rule book. But he couldn't because his conscience must have acknowledged his bias.

And finally the matter has ended up in the courts of football giving the hosts a somewhat hollow victory, though some may say well deserved.

And for those that say this tarnishes the game. Yes it does as we also tarnish our democracy with bad electioneering. The rule is the rule, keep emotion aside, Senegal guffed by walking off the pitch like they were playing some secondary school competition(Principals Cup), the rule is that if 5 players of the same team are off the pitch the referee will close the match in favour of the other team, in fact the ref should have close the match that day after they walked off the pitch, there shouldn’t have been any continuation because it made mockery of the rules guiding football.

Even though I didn’t like Morocco’s unjust favoritism through out the tournament and I was really routing for Senegal to win but there should be consequences for actions for deterrence .

Since referee didn't close the match, it should not count anymore. Rather the referee should be sanctioned. That's all.

Since get is what they want , they will now (CAF) witness a unprecedented abnormality from the host fans in any tournament hence.

Distracting a goal keeper while the match is going is not a crime to CAF.

Deliberate Poor officiating is not also punishable ( have they researched if the referees have been bribed before the match)

Also maltreating any team the host plays is also not considered a crime ?

That is why African football and tournament is not regarded by the rest of the world. Always known for bad and dubious decisions. The fines awarded to the countries are enough and not swapping of hard earn victory.

how is the ref bias? Because they blew a penalty u work out on a major final when Senegalese players work out their African white wasn't stain sometimes make we dey reason before we talk. Morocco team are naturally strong no help anywhere u watch them outplayed Nigeria in the semis
