Why Nnamdi Kanu Is Innocent And Deserves A National Apology by truthera(op):
I took sometime to go through all the comments made in a previous thread I posted here that was featured on Nairaland titled - “Nnamdi Kanu Is Innocent, Only A Criminal Deserves Mercy - Sowore (Video)”

I am appalled at the venomous vicious attacks against Nnamdi Kanu by many members of this website. It was shameful to see educated men talk like touts and illiterates on that thread due to lies, deep tribal hateful sentiments and sheer love for injustice…. I commend users like gidgiddy for his continued tenacious effort at exposing their shameless hypocrisy of condemning Kanu, calling him a terrorist while their compromised government remains in bed with the real terrorists, freeing over 5000 deadly terrorists so far….

What did Nnamdi Kanu do to be labeled a terrorist?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxRN-c3twW0

I’ve watched several video snippets of his broadcast over EndSAR protest been circulated online, mischievously edited like the one above to insinuate that he encouraged people to kill police and army officers for no reason, when in actual fact he was encouraging people to defend themselves against rogue lawless trigger happy police and military officers that went on a killing spree against unarmed protesters during the endsars protest…. For those attacking Kanu, pretending to not know about the extrajudicial coverup killings of over a 100 protesters, carried out by Nigeria’s government in cohort with Tinubu, I will point you all to this news article below….

Nigeria: "mass burial" for 103 victims of the #EndSARS movement - https://www.africanews.com/2023/07/24/nigeria-mass-burial-for-103-victims-of-the-endsars-movement/
All you pretenders, fake champions of justice, condemning Nnamdi Kanu whose crime was that he tried to save these protesters by simply urging them to defend themselves, why are you not condemning your evil APC government that killed the protesters? Why are you not calling for justice for all these protesters killed by your government? You may pretend not to be knowledgeable or naive, but the real reason why many of you are angry, hateful towards Nnamdi Kanu is simply because he is an igbo man….

Kanu’s angry outbursts against Nigeria’s government, Tinubu and police during the EndSARS protest was not out of place, because he was simply speaking out against the killing of innocent defenseless protesters done by military and police officers… If the military and police were civil and didn’t resort to violence, Kanu won’t have said all that you all are accusing him of in that broadcast. I am certain that all of you accusing Kanu of being a terrorist will say far worse things against the government, police and military if any of your family members were killed during the Endsars protest.

There has never been a time in history after the civil war that Igbos were treated fairly when it comes to Nigeria’s national interests. This is why Nnamdi Kanu has always in all his broadcasts told IPOB members that they should never think that they are loved in Nigeria over glaring injustices against the Igbo, their agitation for self-determination through a referendum, urging them to protect themselves and be vigilant, ready at all times to defend themselves even if it means killing any government official or paramilitary groups that kills or attacks them. No one will say that Nnamdi Kanu was wrong after witnessing recent events, we can all see that he was right over Nigeria's insecurity crisis. IPOB was never the problem, there is little or no justice left in Nigeria as terrorists continue to kidnap, kill en mass while Tinubu frees them when captured in the name of rehabilitation, proving all of what Kanu said years ago about the British contraption to be true…. Human life no longer matters in Nigeria as Fulani jihadists bloody pogrom continues unabated….

Nnamdi Kanu like any other human being is prone to mistakes, he is not perfect. Many of you may have issues with the tone of some of his broadcast messages especially the Endsars protest broadcast, this is why he apologized in an interview years ago about some of what he said in the video below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZT8pJq1jJU

What Nnamdi Kanu said during the endsars protest may have sounded extreme but he was right to encourage people to defend themselves for protesting as Nigeria’s government overtime has proven itself to be a lawless entity that takes no responsibility for it’s brutal illegal actions against the people. If IPOB members were not been constantly attacked and killed by the government, Nnamdi Kanu won’t have said all that he did in those broadcasts out of frustration over the lawlessness of Nigeria. There is no one that will fold his or her arms and not try to defend him or herself in the face of death to stop an aggressor when attacked unprovoked.

I do not expect justice or fair trial for Nnamdi Kanu because he is an igbo man fighting against a system careful crafted against him, fighting against an evil government, compromised to uphold and protect the interests of terrorists…. As Nigerians especially you Yorubas continue to rejoice over his arrest, the illegal injustice Omotosho kangaroo trial, condemning him constantly on various platforms including this website, bear in mind that all what Nnamdi Kanu fought against and said will happen is already happening all over Nigeria, the situation is getting out of hand, including your region the South West as no one will be spared from the Fulani jihadist Islamic invasion....

In the end, when all is said and done, it is not what anyone thinks or says against Kanu that will matter but the undiluted painful truth of his message. You will all come to the realization that he was never what you all accused him of, he was always innocent because he meant well for all Nigerians and wanted freedom for everyone….

Nigerians will surely apologize to Nnamdi Kanu in due time….

when court gave him long period of time to defend himself of terrorism, his best Alaigbo lawyers were busy preparing comedy skits for social media monetization. You yourself was busy deceiving yourself when I tell you the truth. At the end of the day, your propagandas you invested so much of your time to regarding KANU expired and my truth hits your back to remove veil of propagandas covering your face over KANU. Now, same KANU you were making noise about then is now serving as inmate leader in sokoto prison after bragging UK will come to fight Nigeria because he is a citizen.

Haa! Tinubu is now being welcome as a royal dignitary in the same UK because they want bilateral ties between the two countries. I can see you as a serious lover of KANU if you go and share prison room with him for months to show your love to him. KANU is being detained in sokoto, you were demonstrating in Aba making noise, after that; what happened? Nothing!

When next we tell you the truth, you will always learn to listen to reality than fantasies. All years of propagandas about KANU have expired, reality of life now hits on you and KANU. Nobody will release KANU this year, don't deceive yourself; go and be eating your Okpa with peace of mind or go and join KANU to eat "Kunnu de nunu" in sokoto

What does your country's (Nigeria) law say about Extraordinary Rendition? When you provide a truthful answer to this question then I can continue the conversation with you regarding Nnamdi Kanu....

Thats how they convicted Nnamdi Kanu, by taking what he said out of context, then misrepresenting it to mean something else

Nnamdi Kanu was covering ENDSARS protest on Radio Biafra when several people started calling in to report that government thugs and the security forces were killing innocent protesters

Nnamdi Kanu told them to attack the security forces back and kill them, its self defence. They took out the part where people called in, took out the part Kanu talked about self defence, and only presented the part where he said the security forces should be attacked, to make it look like he was telling people to attack the security forces with no justification

They did this with many of Nnamdi Kanu’s audio broadcasts. They even misrepresented the one where he told them to go after government thugs killing them and attack their enablers, then said he ordered people to destroy Lagos

Did I not tell you then to go and prove the laws you knew when it was needed? So, KANU did not see extraordinary rendition in the big law books he paraded in the court, right or the pages were missing? His best adjudged lawyers did not see it in their books before they ran out of idea preparing comedy skit series. Ok, continue wasting your time and deceiving yourself

Next batch will be release as soon as we have those that are geneiuely repented. KANU and co had sealed their own minds, they don't repent. It is Biafra or death they zeal their allegiance with killings of innocent Igbo virgin girls. So, if KANU becomes a pastor inside prison and geneiuely repented of his sins; then he may be among the future 8th batch that would be released.

He was a fugitive of the court and not a wanted man as he was already standing trail before he jumped bail to continue inciting and promoting terrorism in your backyards.

Technicalities can not save him then as the Supreme court set aside the ruling by an Abia State High Court which natuarlly does not have jurisdiction over a case already pending in a Federal court.

So rest.

Funny comment, Nigeria declared itself a lawless nation the day Nnamdi Kanu was illegally abducted from Kenya. I specifically asked the other user to explain constitutional implications of extraordinary rendition because I knew he knows that in trying to explain, he will indict himself.... You noticed that in his last comment he stylishly omitted it but your take regarding the matter is laughable, you clearly do not know the legal implications..... Below is a snippet that should enlighten you....

"Extraordinary rendition of Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya in 2021, is widely considered an illegal, extrajudicial transfer in violation of the 1999 Nigerian Constitution, international law, and extradition protocols. It violates fundamental rights to liberty, fair hearing, and human dignity under Sections 35 and 36 of the Constitution. While courts deemed the rendition illegal, legal battles continue over whether it vitiates the subsequent trial.

Key Constitutional & Legal Implications:
Fundamental Rights Violation: The forced abduction and transfer without legal process (extraordinary rendition) directly violates Section 35 (liberty) and Section 36 (fair hearing) of the 1999 Constitution.

Illegality Overrides Jurisdiction Argument: Critics argue that because the Nigerian government violated its own laws and international law to obtain custody of the suspect, the court should not have jurisdiction to try him, as "you cannot break the law to enforce it".

African Charter Violations: The rendition breaches Articles 9 and 12(4) of the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ratified by Nigeria), forbidding arbitrary arrest and expulsion.

ECOWAS Court Ruling: In July 2022, the ECOWAS Court of Justice ruled that the rendition was unlawful, ordering Nigeria to pay ₦500 million in damages.

Judicial Controversy: While the Court of Appeal initially ordered the release of Nnamdi Kanu in 2022 due to the illegal rendition, the Supreme Court in 2023 allowed the trial to continue, ruling that the manner of acquisition of a defendant does not automatically stop a trial, despite the fact that there were glaring evidence of rights violation.

Precedent (Abacha v. Fawehinmi): Defense teams argue that the 2023 Supreme Court ruling contradicts the 7-member panel ruling in Abacha v. Fawehinmi on the binding nature of the African Charter.

Key Incidents:
Nnamdi Kanu (2021): Taken from Kenya to Nigeria without legal extradition.

Umaru Dikko (1984): Historical precedent of illegal kidnapping attempts.

The Nigerian Supreme Court has ruled that while extraordinary rendition is illegal and a violation of rights, the trial itself can proceed, creating a deeply controversial interpretation of constitutionalism and rule of law in Nigeria."

You are just hanging on the straws of technicalities.

All you are pushing concerning this extra rendition is pure academic and as the Supreme court rightly ruled, can not stop the FG from continue their case against Kanu in a court of law.

Its funny that you are quoting both local and international law to spring your convicted terrorist leader out of jail while clapping like a circus seal whenever Israel and its brainless golem (US) breaks every international law, war crime and decency .
Re: Why Nnamdi Kanu Is Innocent And Deserves A National Apology by truthera(op):
I quoted the sections of your constitution to buttress my point but you've quoted none, you are the one relying on technicalities because the 1999 constitution is clear and unambiguous over this matter.... Nigeria's Supreme Court judges violated the constitution and international law in their controversial ruling as regards the extraordinary rendition of Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya.... These judges abused their offices and public trust in order to push through an illegal trial....

When judgement can be bought and manipulated by the highest bidder in the highest court, lawlessness becomes the order of the day.... Keep hanging on the straws of injustice, you may think this judicial injustice will end with Nnamdi Kanu, it won't as you will surely face the consequences in due time and will cry out for justice but you will get none.... Nnamdi Kanu will regain his freedom when the time comes.....

How is he innocent when a competent court of law has found him guilty of terrorism?

You think that extra rendition will wash away his sins and crimes?

You dey dream.

As I said, Kanu will remain locked up till he is no longer considered a threat to society and that will be when he is old and weak and suffering from dementia.

"Competent" court of law? You continue to dodge the question I asked earlier regarding the constitutional implications of extraordinary rendition of Kanu.... I've made the case that no law in Nigeria or outside Nigeria supports the act of abducting any person from another country without legal extradition..... Injustice Omotosho and his compromised legal colleagues in the supreme court violated both local and international law to jail Nnamdi Kanu.... You may continue to whitewash illegality but as I said earlier, locking Kanu will not stop the fulani Islamic jihadists killing your people.....

How does his manner of rendition exonerate or wash away his crime?

Go and institute a court case calling for a mistrial or rather sue Nigerian govt over Kanu's manner of rendition.

What crime did Nnamdi Kanu commit? Is self-defense a crime? Nigeria is a lawless country masquerading as a democratic entity.... If you read the post I made at the beginning of this thread, I made it clear that Nnamdi Kanu can not get justice from Nigeria's compromised courts because the powers that be in control of all sensitive institutions including the judiciary will not allow it..... IMHO, Kanu's freedom will come not from a judicial process but a political arrangement.... I will ask you one more time, what crime did Nnamdi Kanu commit to be labeled a terrorist?

Apart from his illegal abduction, several other constitutional provisions was clearly violated in the cause of his trial that was conveniently swept under the carpet by the corrupt judges. You will do yourself a big favor by not quoting me any further on this thread....
