Psalm 150:6 KJV

Maiduguri, Borno State - The 23rd Indigenous Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Rilwan Disu psc(+), NPM, on Tuesday paid a working visit to Borno State following the recent bomb explosion that left several persons injured.

During the visit, the IGP met with victims of the blast currently receiving treatment and expressed deep sympathy over the incident.

He was received by the Deputy Governor of Borno State, His Excellency, Usman Umar Kadafur, who congratulated the IGP on his appointment and commended his prompt response to the incident.

“For an incident that happened last night and for you to be on ground this morning is a sign of seriousness,” the deputy governor said, describing the visit as a morale booster for the people of the state.

According to him, the presence of the IGP at this critical time underscores the Federal Government’s concern for the safety and well-being of Borno residents. He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to continued collaboration with security agencies to achieve desired peace.

Earlier, the Commissioner of Police, Borno State Command, CP Nazir Abdulmajeed, welcomed the IGP and commiserated with victims and residents over the unfortunate incident.

As part of his engagements, the IGP visited the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, where victims of the explosion are receiving treatment. He also inspected the Monday Market, the epicentre of the blast, to assess the level of destruction.

The IGP also visited the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Operations and the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Mobile Force, where he held strategic discussions on strengthening security operations in the state.

Addressing officers and men of the Borno State Police Command, the IGP charged them to heighten vigilance, strengthen intelligence gathering, and remain proactive in the discharge of their duties.

He assured residents of the Force’s firm commitment to safeguarding lives and property, while urging members of the public to remain security conscious and cooperate with law enforcement agencies.

The IGP also assured officers of his support through the provision of necessary security gadgets and logistics to enhance operational efficiency.

The visit comes amid renewed efforts to reinforce security across the North-East region.

The way they are killing soldiers in North East , you will think that mobile police are not deployed to that place. I spoke with some mobile police that recently came back from Borno and they told me that you can hardly hear or see them do cho cho cho and that they are very secretive and the terrorists fear them more than soldiers

This is medicine after death.
We are always reactive not proactive.
Why would a sane government think of rehabilitating terrorist and integrating them into the society? Rehabilitation that is poorly done.

You cannot defend Nigerian leaders without looking stewpiiiiid

That because they are playing safe and not doing their work.

Exactly! The police top-brass has hitherto abandoned North-east to their fate.
I fear for this IGP's life - he's determine to make things work. Unfortunately, politics to politicians in the North is far more important than human lifes!
May he not go the way of Lagbaja!

Does Zulum stay in Borno State?

I see no reason why election should hold in Borno state

In fact there is no need conducting election in the following states

Borno

Niger

Sokoto

Etc

Pls, what is really this President benefit abeg? My two neigbors are Yorubas. There is no electricity for more than 3 weeks. The two times they brought it, it lasted for just 10 minutes. They have been charging in my place almost every day. So, is it tthat when your tribe becomes president, u automatically have electricity? Because the way some of u here carry this presidency for head eh. Honestly if to say, if a person's tribe becomes president, the tribe will have electricity, water, healthcare, quality education, they wont suffer or buy fuel, I will claim it is worth it to troll others here. But baba, that is not the reality. Infact, northern Nigeria has ruled nigeria the most, yet has the worse performing indexes in almost every sector. omo, black race, make una dey produce citizens when get head na

Nigeria should be worried that the world is seeing them as a country of particular concern.
Even when we are looking for a way of reducing corruption, insecurity crawls in.

Till when it'll be tagged, "no destination".
Bad leaders, unchallant politicians keeps on sprouting.

As an individual, the only thing I can say is just do your best to survive.

Nigeria leaders are not leading but reacting. After the visit, that is the end. No measures will be put in place to prevent further attacks. Awon oloriburuku somebody.

Emergency lovers of Nigeria.

A lot of people in that axis have been brainwashed by religion. It would take higher level of thinking that can free them from such thinking.

At least commend the prompt response from the IGP

I find it irritating to see these baseless submissions directed at me. Informing me of these type of bulshit for validation is one thing I find amusing. Moreover, it is clear that criticism of the President persists regardless of his location. Whether he is in the country or on an official state visit, what difference does it make?

Is it expected that the President personally engage in security operations or suspend official duties to satisfy such narratives. His absence neither diminishes the authority of any necessary pronouncements, nor does it imply a lapse in governance or security oversight. This persistent lack of logical reasoning is precisely why I choose to disengage from discussing with these people and indeed block them.

The next time you quote me with similar nonsense, you stand blocked.

This claim is false. Lagos is one state that is well known for Policemen extorting motorists both bikemen and bus drivers, collecting N50 (back then it's now N100-N200). Then the Policemen give kickbacks to their DPO's who in turn give kickback to their superior till it reaches the commissioner.

This happened even when Disu was there.

So, no. Integrity is far from him. Enough of this whitewashing.

Much grammar over emptiness.
When Jonathan was the C-I-C, he personally traveled to distressed areas and oversaw sanity being restored.

Your lord and savior would rather holiday irresponsibly while the rest of the country burns to ashes.

Like leader, like followers.

A security boss said they are their brothers, since then they have peaked up their attacks.

We must face the truth in Nigeria, have true federalism, have state police, state laws, full resources control, so states can remove trouble makers from their state, with strong state laws, passed by state parliament, this is what federal structure of government dictate...at that point, any state that wants to destroy itself with devilish codes, systems and ways can do so without affecting others.

It's a gorilla warfare that has political undertone. Nigeria security forces can't stop them.

If we claim they are foreigners, there's no reason why the government should not take war to wherever they are coming from.

If your safety and security feels threatened by another country, you take your war to them. That's what Israel, US, Russia or any advanced country would do.

You welcomed them in 2015 to achieve electoral and political mileage. Now, they've grown out of your control and you can't even stop them on your own turf.

To end this gorilla warfare, an intentional war must be declared with all our bordering neighbors that this infiltrations are coming from. Except this is done, this insecurity will continue to spread and consume as many as possible. Sadly to say!
