When people say “Peter Obi will never be Nigerian President,” I can’t help but laugh. Not out of mockery, but because it shows a lack of understanding of how power truly works. It is God who lifts a man—and He alone can bring him down. Some people seem to have forgotten history. During the era of Sani Abacha—a man widely feared and surrounded by absolute power—Nigeria witnessed a political system where parties existed mostly on paper. At one point, all political parties endorsed him as the sole presidential candidate. Was it because he was the best option? No. It was out of fear. His grip on power was so strong that few dared to oppose him. Today, one cannot ignore the similarities many are pointing out. With 32 governors aligned in one direction, and institutions like the National Assembly, judiciary, and Independent National Electoral Commission under intense scrutiny, the question arises: why is there still so much effort spent fighting opposition voices? For some, it has become a matter of tribal loyalty—supporting Bola Ahmed Tinubu simply because he is “their own,” rather than asking who can truly fix Nigeria. But the truth is simple: we all share the same reality. Every Nigerian goes to the same markets, drives on the same roads, and faces the same struggles—whether rich or poor, north or south. History has also taught us something important: no ruler, no matter how powerful or feared, remains in power forever. Every throne has its time. So rather than dismiss possibilities, we should remember—change can come when least expected. |

Let him keep deceiving himself; HoeBee can never be Nigerian President. The eyes of Nigerians are now opened concerning the Muslim-Muslim ticket propaganda he rode on the last time. HoeBee the Gbajuẹ should get away! |

EmperorIsaac:You cannot take away God from the affairs of men. He just watches and hardly interferes because He gave us this world to run and do with it whatever we like. But you see any man that God takes interest in, nothing can stop him. You are certainly not a politician because ALL Nigerian politicians know that God plays a part in their efforts to become leaders. It's more obvious in the political careers of Jonathan, Amaechi, Obasanjo, Buhari, etc. However, what a man does with an opportunity God gave him is entirely his business. |

With the current political structure and support from governors, I don’t see Peter Obi becoming president anytime soon. I also have concerns about some of his policies and how they might affect national unity. Additionally, the behavior of some of his online supporters and certain statements he has made raise questions for me. |

But truth be told, Peter Obi will make a good president but he will never be Nigeria president. |

Abacha achieved one party system with fear. Tinubu achieved it with politicking. You, his enemies will not want to admit this, Except God makes him ill / dead.... That man has built a fortress. Even the remaining Governors are begging to join. Obi should simply build towards 2031 ... 8 years North.... 2040 elections. But someone who couldn't build APGA, jumped to PDP then LP then ADC is like 99.9% of politicians in Nigeria so he will definitely fail. Tinubu is in the 0.000001%. very rare breed . Likely the only one that even exists. You guys can deny that but it's the bitter reality |

Pee101:When Obidients were everywhere declaring that ''Peter Obi will be your President whether you like it or not'' where were you? I am the one that started the Peter Obi will never EVER be President meme movement here and i have a thread here that I post regularly to remind the once gregarious and arrogant Obidients of this solid facts. And how can you narrow it down to tribalism when Obi's entire presidential campaign was hinged on so-called Ibo turn? You guys have zero self reflection that's why you can not even see when you do your rubbish on others but expect roses in return. |

Obi's best shot was 2023. He was viewed as a Messiah then because of the perception he is different to the "old boy" who have ruined Nigeria. He has since gone on, with his talk and action to date, to show he is cowardly, weak and an empty barrel. Most Obidients who have the highest level of integrity, as human beings, have left the Obidient movement. As a very potent and factual reality, how many Yorubas Obidients exist today compared to 2023 when they were so many to the extent they used to get on my nerves? Virtually non. Go figure. Nothing for Obi in 2027 other than 3rd or 4th place for sure . |

For me, as long as he doesn't stand up to his Obidients, he would never be president of Nigeria. He must stand up to them by telling them to stop the abuses, insults and curses. He must tell them straight that anyone that cannot tolerate dissenting voices, in the manner Obidients can't, should stop supporting him. Or he can continue to let them stain his white cloth with their palm oil, by them continuing to constitute a nuisance on social media, and always come third. Obasanjo was president, twice sef, despite Yoruba not supporting him so it's not a new concept. |
