First of all, Tinubu as a president lacks the charisma and personality of a Buhari or Obasanjo. Maybe because the duo came from the military , as they all enjoyed very illustrious military careers. That would have helped train them not to shake like leaves before Trump, like Ramaphosa of SA. You think Trump would have made that kind of noise were it to be either of the two personalities in charge of Nigeria? We all saw how he was all over Buhari in the white house when he hosted Buhari during his first term. Now, it isn't so much about the argument about Christian genocide as it is about the way Trump seemed to bark and the Tinubu govt knee jerked and began to release statements and began shuffling top military and defence positions, which in the end was just a series of motions without movement. That said, there's no where on this God's green earth were American air strikes have defeated terrorism. Nigeria couldn't have been different. This present govt owes it to the citizens to ensure that the country remains safe and secured. Trump isn't our president, Tinubu is, and turning a blind eye to the insecurity presently ravaging Nigeria doesn't solve the problem. |

ISWAP and Boko Haram have reduced, but Fulani banditry still persists. The Fulani terrorists want the same settlement as the Niger Delta militants. Until then, their sponsors aren't giving up. |

helinues:The USA and Nigeria partnership against terror has had strategic success. ISIS second in command was neutralised on Nigerian soil in the North. The problem is that North only knows to feed on the wealth of the FG through the Presidency they use to do all manners of madness. Under Buhari they printed trillions with no fiscal responsibility at all. Under PBAT, the Nigerian central bank is world central bank of the year for the first time In our history. I welcome the USA partnering us in our war against terror but the issue is that many in the North, from leaders to followers, are in bed with terrorism and banditry. We have all seen images of thousands of bandits riding on bikes in the North and being welcomed like heroes. Southerners need to wake up in Nigeria. I don't see any solution to the major problem of Nigerian apart from the North and South going their separate ways. The world has changed and the two regions cannot coexist productively. Globally, many evil, influential and wealthy people and nations want fundamentalist and radical Islam to dominate Nigeria. They will not stop sponsoring the effort for Islamic fundamentalism to define Nigeria because they believe the biggest black nation in the world belongs to them. Only those who cannot think critically or pragmatically will think Nigeria will not seperate one way or the other. Politicians are just prolonginging the separation because of loot they are gaining controlling the centre. We ordinary Nigerians, assuming we ever get smart enough, just need to decide if we want that separation to happen bloodily or peacefully . |
