The biggest reason is protection.
Look at this example:

Before nuclear weapons → weak, threatened
After nuclear weapons → nobody dares attack directly
Even the powerful United States avoids direct war with them.
👉 Why?
Because:
❗ Nuclear weapons = “If you attack me, you will also be destroyed”
This is called:
👉 Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD)
Meaning:
If one launches → both sides lose everything

I knew it will get to this stage, it is not every time you do gra-gra, just imagine if all the countries hit decide to go to full war with Iran coupled with U.S and Israel, I advise they should all strike a peace deal with each other and apologize to each other.

But I notice how a lot of people miss really why Iran is going through these battles, mainly because of fighting Israel, I kind of feel their problem lies more in fighting the wrong way than whether what they are fighting for is right or wrong(my opinion though).

At the moment, Iran has absolutely nothing to lose. Is it their supreme leader you'll kill? He's dead! Is it their ministers? Most of them are dead? Is it their warships? Destroyed! Is it their children? Started bombing them already! So what exactly do you expect from an injured bear? It's going to lash out in all directions and make sure it doesn't go down alone. Since you can choose outsiders over your neighbor, don't expect any compromise from the same neighbor.

Iran played by the rules for so long and it only brought them pains. Getting bombed 2 different times during negotiations. Who does that? They have no nuclear weapons, Israel does. They are not committing a genocide, Israel is. They are not bombing schools and hospitals, Israel is. Yet they are the devils. Talking about sovereignty when you allowed your countries to be used as bases to attack a sovereign country. Is that not hypocrisy?
