The market was closed for the holidays but Zedcrest went down a huge 1.4% yesterday.

I'm wondering why. Anyone has a reasonable explanation?? Because it doesn't add up.

Other fund users (GT, paramount and the likes), any similar experience? I can speak for Afrinvest as my portfolio with them stays dormant on weekends/public holidays.

Yesterday, I gained around 743 naira on my capital of 55k+ naira equivalence. Gonna study the market trend before topping up aggressively.

This is true. I just checked my app and there was a loss of over 1% on a public holiday. This is ridiculous. Uberchic needs to come and explain what is going on as he/she always has a defense for Zedcrest.

Whatever the situation, if this trend continues, I ll exit the funds even with a loss, I won’t mind.

Yes, chief. Portfolio allocation really matters in equity; I only had one massive green and a tiny green, which in return outperformed the reds.

It has been more than 48hrs I initiated a withdrawal and up till now no response, you can’t even reach them on phone, WhatsApp, or email.

In fact I asked CHATGPT......it told me they started equity in December and that I should watch from a distance first...

Chat with them on the app they will respond within 24 hrs. Or use any contact option on the app.

Quantum is terrible. I go even still reason a bit with zedcrest cos they impact ur funds immediately even if u deposit during trading sessions which may may affect them one way or the other.Zedcrest will be fine.

But honestly zedcrest has been doing perfectly fine. My major fund managers currently is zedcrest for equity & first ally for mmf. Even with their data update issue zedcrest is still on top & they correct it quickly. App interface is smooth & fast. Customer support is superb. I'm loading heavily on zedcrest all through the year, my only mistake was the money I put in zenith quantum should have been in zedcrest.

And nobodg has made any effort to report the Zenith app to the SEC, so far?
Anyways, once I make my withdrawal request and they try this delay tactics with me, I will forward mh complaint to the SEC asap.

I want to top up too but im thinking of waiting till monday to see of if it will drop further. Monday is likely to rebound though. Alot of NAVs either dipped or remained as is and so I’m guessing people waiting for pull back will want to jump in on Monday, hence pushing things up

I don't think it will rebound by monday. If there's any chance then It'll most likely be with tuesday update after monday's trade.

In my opinion, anytime from now till then will be a good time to top up.

Hmm okay. Good thing with zedcrest is that you can top up during the day after monitoring ASI and it will reflect immediately before NAV is updated by 1am. I guess i’d wait it out till Monday then. Thanks

I believe it's this their immediate impact of deposit on the portfolio that is making their YTD fluctuate and not accurate.

Never had problems with their YTD though. Thing is, the balance on the landing page takes time to be updated. The accurate numbers are always the one you see when you click on invest and Equity MMF. That’s the section they update every 1am. I dont even bother with the landing page numbers.

To be fair i think it’s even same for paramount too
