I don't see anything wrong in receiving Nigerian Deportees back in the country and even offenders, the same way we would welcome Nigerian Philanthropists from the UK.
My own worry is that his travels are mostly ill-timed which shows he cares less about Nigerians. Tinubu is only after Nigeria's money because others have been stealing it and he wanted to also take his turn.
He travelled at a time there was a terrorist bomb attack in Borno where Nigerians have killed and a lot injured.
Nigeria is not fit to be called a country.

There are people who purposefully destroy their travel papers in order to make it legally impossible to tie them to a particular country and deport them there, partly because the receiving country may not accept that these are their citizens without a valid travel document like a passport or emergency travel certificate. This agreement allows the UK to issue a special document that will be recognised by the Nigerian government in such cases.

True. Whereas, if that immigrant were able to remain a bit longer, immigration policy might change, reconcile with estranged spouse, or use their children and humanitarian means to get their papers.

Many people who eventually got their papers were at some point in line for deportation if they had been caught, or if deportation had been possible without valid 9ja ID. Some detained for immigration issues were eventually released. And are British citizens today making their contribution to society.

Deported people have identities, they came into the country with passports and have records. Some people throw away their passports, destroy it or whatever to frustrate deportation procedure.
