I hate it when people make it seem like Neymar failed to live up to his potential. He didn't win a Ballon d'or but for a while, he was the best player in the world not named Messi or Ronaldo. He is Brazil's second highest goal scorer behind Pele. Maybe he could have achieved more but 80% of players would kill to have the career he's had.

More than the trophies and individual achievements, his legacy lives on in the new generation of players like Musiala and Lamine Yamal, players who continue to pay homage to the man who inspired their game with his artistry on the pitch. Every choice of player here is agenda driven. You don’t get full admiration on this thread unless you are an EPL player, especially when you are being compared to someone who has never played in epl.
Mohamed Salah is a very good player, no doubt. But if you are asked to name the three best players in the last 15 years and you say Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Salah, people will criticize your third choice heavily .
But, if you pick Neymar as the third xhoice instead, your choice will face less or no criticism.
Salah is a great player, but he has not reached the same level of global recognition as Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, or Kylian Mbappé have.
