This Kwankwaso is simply being wicked. It appears he assumes that Obi lacks the awareness to see what is unfolding, and is therefore trying to exploit that perceived blind spot to advance his own political games.

Atiku will be on the ballot. Makinde, Dickson and Bala Mohammed are in Kano to woe Kwankwaso and Obi to NDC. The more the merrier if this materialises. Tinubu will bleed votes in the South and bleed votes in the North. He just might come third.

It will only be an issue on the premise that Obi can win the number of votes he won during the last election which seems unlikely at the moment. Kwankwaso votes was barely 1.3 million but he won that state in a landslide. On the other hand Tinubu and APC has been busy in putting structures in place to grab more states than they did during the last election. It is an interesting coalition but of less significant compared to a solid Obi/Atiku coalition. All the same, it's all politics and we shall see as it unfolds. It's enough to pay attention to but not enough to cause a major disturbance to Tinubu's bloc
