Building nuclear weapons is different from building nuclear power plant.

A country has to have good reason to build nuclear weapons first before they can talk of a plant. EG...countires like North Korea and Israel have good reasons for nuclear weapons. As does Iran.

But VIetnam, which is in a relatively peaceful corner of SE Asia and which has good relations with russia, china and the USA...does not need a nuclear weapon. But they do need more electricity...for industrial growth and jobs...and one nuclear station can do the job of several gas powered plants. Also, nuclear power does not pollute as much as gas powered plants.

Plus it costs a lot to build nuclear weapons.

This nuclear plant is sure going to be for peaceful purposes (like the generation of electricity) unlike that of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the ultimate intent to use it to blow up the rest of the world.

Be it russia , USA, china, uk, europe...any suggestion of a nuclear plant...Nigerians go say no, or they will say build it in your hometown...

Ukraine has lots of light because of nuclear power. South Africa built three nuclear power plants and thus got automatic 15000MW stat. We better wakey wakey.

Even Niger and Burkina faso are building.

nuclear reactors are built in isolated areas and not a dense area.

It is evil to leave the northern part of Nigeria that is mostly desert and come and build nuclear reactors in southern part that is densely populated, knowing fully well how the terrorists want to wipe out the christian population in Nigeria.
