I’m Still NURTW President – MC Oluomo Dares Baruwa After Secretariat Takeover by SlavaUkraini(op): 1:13am On Mar 24
Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has insisted he is still the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW.

Mc Oluomo has released a statement on Monday, following the reported takeover of NURTW’s national secretariat by Tajudeen Baruwa.

Baruwa cited court rulings, which he claimed to be in his favour.

However, in a statement posted on his Instagram page, McOluomo claimed the development as a “forceful takeover” and maintained that due legal processes were still ongoing.

The statement read, “The National President wishes to intimate members of the union and the general public that he was not a defendant in the purported judgment.

The judgment has been appealed, and a stay of execution has been duly entered.

“He has not engaged with Mr Baruwa or any individual, aware that cases are pending in court.

“The situation is under the control of security agencies.

Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya remains the National President of NURTW.”

Nigeria is a very useless country
Re: I’m Still NURTW President – MC Oluomo Dares Baruwa After Secretariat Takeover by ARISHEM:
Courts gave a ruling. The police instead went against the ruling, did not enforce it and went ahead to arrest the prevailing party. That shows that since Mc oluomo is an asset to Tinubu his services will be needed in the next election.
Police and court sheriffs will be given greenlight to go enforce the court ruling when elections are over.
Our democracy is indeed questionable.

Before you comment on this case.

Please imagine that you are MC oluomo and you are loved by the president and this is because of the sacrifices you have made for the president even years before he thought of being president.

The judgment has been appealed, and a stay of execution has been duly entered.

Both parties should sheath their swords and await the final ruling of the Supreme Court.
Re: I’m Still NURTW President – MC Oluomo Dares Baruwa After Secretariat Takeover by UzorIyke(m):
I thought, what he supposed to do is to wait for the court of appeal to make their judgment, not doing as if Mr. Tajudeen just took over the secretariat, for now he's not incharge of NURTW, untill a higher court judgement.

Why is it difficult for people to read and understand issues?
I said it yesterday, until the case gets to the Apex court, it is yet to be resolved.
Any judgement can be appealed with stay of execution to maintain status quo, pending determination of the appeal. It's a legal fact that has been enforced on several cases, hence NURTW shouldn't be different. They should stop behaving like agbero they are known as

Baruwa is a brave man.
Fighting Oluomo is equivalent to fighting Tinubu indirectly.
Even if he loses, he'll be remembered for daring.

He ought to have furnished the Public with a copy of the Court "Stay of Execution" (which is usually for 7days, btw) and served the other Party, even if just by pasting it on the Walls of the Secretariat, using Court Bailiffs or are we supposed to take the word of an Agbero/ Motor Park Thug, on face value, without seeing any actual CTC Court document?
Re: I’m Still NURTW President – MC Oluomo Dares Baruwa After Secretariat Takeover by shankie: 5:41am On Mar 24
yes , there is still one Court left that is supreme court, and he has already got stay of execution from court so the order of taking over can not be followed for now

Seriously, you seem to be the one who is actually unlettered here.
Till the case is further appealed and proceeds to a higher court (supreme court) and finally overturned or not, this particular judgement is final for now.

If Nigeria is a working society MC should simply vacate the office and proceed to appeal. Baruwa is the legal Union leader for now as long as this judgement has not been overturned by any higher court, till then MC should take a break, consult his lawyers and prepare for his appeal.

Even if you are a Baby Lawyer, which l doubt, are you aware that a Stay of Execution Order, is a time-limited, interim Order and does not operate in perpetuity?
You think Judges are dumb and they dont know that a Party can use a 'Stay of Order' to deny Justice to the other Party, if it was granted in perpetuity, so to say, as the 'beneficiary party' can keep stalling on the case, while the Order operates in its favor?

Since there is a court Order ousting MCO, that order is the 'Subsisting Order', it has been enforced and that is the status quo that will be maintained by the Stay of Order, till the substantive Appeal is heard and determined.

If MCO violently engages with Mr. Baruwa at this point, he will be violating a subsisting Court Order and charged with Contempt of Court, liable to imprisonment!

Law is not Agbero matter, his Defense team should advise him properly

In a sane Society, should anyone, whether Igbo or Hausa or Yoruba, be vying to be the Head of THUGS and Political Enforcers? huh huh
It was always a "Lagos/Yoruba thing" until 2023, when it was exported to the FCT, as part of the dividend of Democracy. shocked shocked grin

These Motor Park Touts and Political Thugs should be in Jail, if not for their usefulness to the Politician in Power.

Mc oluomo is looking for a court and a judge that will do his bidding. The body language of mc oluomo indicates he enjoys the backing of the powers that be. Nigeria has sort of become a banana republic where any thing goes
