War In Iran: Winners, Losers, And The Global Fallout by AnonPoet(op): 9:40pm On Mar 23
The United States and Israel launched coordinated attacks on Iran on February 28, 2026, triggering far-reaching geopolitical and economic consequences. The military action, ordered by US President Donald Trump and supported by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, disrupted a period of relative calm following a ceasefire in Gaza.

Russia is emerging as one of the biggest beneficiaries. The war has driven global oil and gas prices sharply higher, boosting Moscow’s export revenues and strengthening its capacity to sustain its war in Ukraine. The US decision to temporarily ease sanctions on Russian oil has further improved Russia’s position. Beyond energy, Russia could gain leverage in global fertiliser markets, while the conflict provides Moscow with a propaganda advantage, allowing it to deflect criticism of its invasion of Ukraine by highlighting perceived double standards in international law.

Israel also stands to gain strategically. Continued strikes have weakened Iran’s military infrastructure and reduced the operational capacity of its regional allies, including Hamas and Hezbollah. This could limit future threats to Israel, while offering political benefits to Netanyahu ahead of upcoming elections.

China, though facing short-term economic pressure from rising energy costs, may benefit in the long run. With a diversified energy mix and strong investments in renewables, Beijing is better positioned than many economies to absorb shocks. China could strengthen its global influence by presenting itself as a more stable and predictable partner than the United States. Increased demand for renewable technologies may also boost Chinese exports in sectors such as solar energy and electric vehicles.

The most immediate victims are the Iranian people. Thousands have reportedly been killed or injured since the conflict began, with civilian infrastructure heavily impacted. The war has compounded existing internal unrest following a deadly crackdown on protests in late 2025 and early 2026. Despite these pressures, Iran’s leadership remains in control. The rise of Mojtaba Khamenei after the death of Ali Khamenei signals continuity in governance, though potentially with a harder stance both domestically and internationally.

Elsewhere in the region, civilians in Lebanon and Palestinian territories are suffering. Israeli operations have caused significant casualties and displacement in Lebanon, while conditions in Gaza and the West Bank continue to deteriorate amid intensified restrictions and military actions. Gulf states, though less affected by direct violence, face severe economic risks. Disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz have forced major oil producers like Saudi Arabia and Iraq to reduce output, threatening global supply chains and national revenues.

Europe is among the hardest hit outside the Middle East. Rising energy prices are adding to economic strain, particularly as the continent remains dependent on global oil and gas markets. The conflict also undermines international legal norms that have long underpinned European security. Ukraine faces heightened vulnerability as US military resources are redirected to the Middle East, leaving its infrastructure exposed to Russian attacks. Türkiye may also feel the impact through reduced tourism and renewed instability linked to Kurdish tensions along its borders.

Despite initiating the conflict, the United States itself may ultimately be among the losers. While higher energy prices benefit American producers, they also increase costs for consumers and strain the broader economy. The war has damaged US diplomatic relations, particularly with Gulf allies who were unprepared for the scale of Iran’s retaliation. Trump’s demands for international support in securing the Strait of Hormuz have been met with resistance, further isolating Washington from its traditional partners. The financial cost of the war is mounting rapidly, with billions already spent in its early days.

The conflict highlights a lack of strategic planning, drawing parallels with past US military engagements in Iraq and Afghanistan. Geopolitical rivals such as Russia and China appear poised to gain the most, while US allies in Europe and the Middle East bear significant losses. For Europe, the crisis underscores the urgent need to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and strengthen independent defence capabilities. Ukraine may seek to offset its disadvantages by leveraging its expertise in drone warfare to build alliances with Gulf states.

The war in Iran is reshaping global power dynamics, with consequences extending far beyond the battlefield. While some nations may gain economically or strategically, the overall picture is one of instability, rising costs, and human suffering.

Overall, wars like this don’t produce clear winners, just shifting advantages with serious risks.

There can never be peace in the World as long as the “United Snakes of Amerika” and her cowardly & toothless gang of 32+ Countries (NATO) continue to subvert the Government and pillage the resources of weak & defenseless Sovereign Nations.

Now that Iran has demonstrated to the whole World that Amerika and Israel (with all their inferior and overrated Air Defense Systems) are NOT INVINCIBLE as the Mainstream Media had always portrayed them to be, there shall now be strategic realignment of Weak Nations against the Bullies and Thieves who have wreaked so much havoc on the World since 1945 in the guise of selling their useless DEMOCRACY.

As for all the illiterates and children supporting Trump and Israel simply because they think this war is about religion, you can all continue to wallow in your eternal ignorance.

As always, for countless Billions of Dollars, Amerika and Israel can only send their Armies against illiterate savages armed with coconuts.

I think Donald Trump took too much inspiration from Venezuela, he assumed that taking out the supreme leader would cause a power struggle that would result in Iran bending over.

They also didnt think Iran would attack Gulf nations, they assumed it would be just Israel and US military bases, more easier to defend.

People, the US and Israel must stay the course and crush the terror regime that’s a bully to the entire world - the Iranian Islamic regime.

The present pain is appreciated, but it is necessary. The people ruling Iran presently are a threat to not just their neighbours in the Gulf states but to the whole world.

It is the Islamic regime in Iran that is the hand that sponsors almost all the terror organisations in the Middle East - Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Jihadists, with links to ISWAP, the Houthis, and all the sleeper cells in Europe and elsewhere. While every Gulf states were busy building architectural masterpieces, the Iranian regime were busy building ballistic missile cities all over Qom, Isfahan, Tehran and elsewhere - even working on building nuclear weapons! All for what ? To become another North Korea, and this time holding the entire world to ransom and then executing their long term plan of wiping out Israel off the world’s map.

If the Americans and the Israelis are not allowed to tame and remove the evil regime in Iran, things will get a lot worse than we are currently experiencing. So, they need to stay the course.

There will be a massive improvement in the quality of life for all peoples all over the world if the US and Israel successfully execute their plans.

Trump was out to take over Iran's oil and gas.
Netanyahu was out to take out Iran's military capabilities.
We are yet to see a full achievement of either.
Unfortunately, innocent people are being killed in Iran, Israel and other gulf states.

If America and Israel truly achieved their goals, the situation would be over by now. Iran wouldn't be able to respond the way it still does. The fact that they are still active and still causing problems shows those 'clear objectives' were not actually met.

Winning a war is not about striking first or hitting hard, it's about ending the threat. Iran is still a threat today, so logically, nothing has been achieved. Calling it success while the problem still exists is just misleading

Iran is still the biggest losers no matter the propaganda.

US and Israeli have bombed the country with little resistance and almost destroy their industrial capabilities.

What Iran have left now is the missiles stockpiles left underground, it will take 10 years before they recover from that bombing raid

Trump gambled.
He was hoping the Iranian people will take to the streets and cause a civil revolution, then American soldiers will step in and demolish what will be left of Iranian leadership and install a puppet.
But it didn't happen.
It is almost impossible for America to put boots on the ground in Iran when the streets are still controlled by the Iranian security forces.
It'd have been far better if Trump had gone through with the negotiations and forced Iran to make deals that'll be heavily in his favour.
At least everyone thought the US was really almighty until this miscalculated war.
Trump believed in sophistication.
Iran used strategy and numbers.
Maybe he won't listen to any Netanyahu ever again in his lifetime, and even in his next life.

The winner of the war is The U.S, because they have stopped Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and send warning signals to other terrorists enclaves.so it is Iran 0 =U.S.A 3.
Re: War In Iran: Winners, Losers, And The Global Fallout by edogu(m): 6:18am On Mar 24
You and I, along with others who have little understanding of the war, as well as the ordinary people of Iran (not their government), American people and the Gulf nations, are the real losers. The rise in prices triggered by this conflict is affecting everyone.

The real beneficiaries are Russia, arms dealers, and other countries that rely heavily on crude oil exports for revenue.

Nigeria could have benefited more if we had functional refineries. Relying solely on Dangote’s refinery is not enough.

Trash analysis.

While it's still a bit amateurish to determine actual winners,
Iran is looking fantastically good.
After three weeks, they've fought back against 2 bullies and their allies and bloodied their faces.

They dictate who crosses the strait of Hormuz .

The fate of the global economy is on their hands right now.

They will now negotiate from a position of absolute strength.

Imagine Iran at the negotiations last month and now, huge difference.

America will probably not be back at most of its bases in the ME again. They' left Iraq for good last week.

The balance of power in the middle east has forever changed with Iran as the undisputed regional superpower.

Lastly, Iranian drones and missiles will become oversubscribed.
The Khorramshah mult warhead is superb.

Israel on the other hand has been greatly diminished and demystified.
A large part of the country has been destroyed. The world will be shocked after the media censorship is lifted.
The country will never be the same again.

Israel and the gulf countries, especially UAE are the biggest losers.

Focusing only on the negatives of the United States as a world power misses the full reality. Its influence has often helped maintain global stability and deter unchecked aggression.

After World War II, it rebuilt countries like France and Germany. It pushed back when Iraq invaded Kuwait, and today supports Ukraine against Russia. It also provides aid and security support, including efforts against groups like Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province.

It’s not perfect, but without U.S. influence, power vacuums could lead to more invasions and instability.
