Schoof and Rutte signed the handover documents, displayed the documents for the press to take pictures, after which Mark Rutte came out of the building, got on his bicycle, waved to the New Prime Minister and his aid, they waved back, and Mark Rutte cycled away to his house after 14 years in power. The whole thing did not take up to 15 minutes

And see them still driving toyota camry 96 even within govt but here we waste so much buying latest prados and land cruisers......i still don't see any reason ministers and lawmakers cant drive their personal cars......tinubu is really disappointing in this regard.

Let's leave whether he did well or not. I'm sure that handover didn't cost up to €1k, but here in Africa it would have cost billions just for a mere handover with the fanfare and paparazzi that will come with it

You are right. But, it is not about Tinubu alone. No matter what any aspirant claims, these frivolities cannot be changed. We have seen it as a way of life. Our constitution is complicit too and above all, out corruption is engrained.

When saints got voted in on the platform of LP, there is no record of where any one of them rejected the largese thrown at them till date. I am yet to hear of where any of the raised a motion that the official cars for office holders should be INNOSON motors produced locally for a state.

We like showing people what is right but we will never do what we believe us right when we get to power.

The OP will even do worse if he gets a chance to become a local government chairman.

While I admire the simplicity, I like to state that we operates different types of system. Our's is presidential system, thier is parliamentary. Also where we colonized by UK and our order of protocol can't be exactly the same. They choose bicyle we choose expensive cars. Oga, good leader or not at least he didn’t spend $$ millions flying dignitaries, booking hotel, blocking road and stopping economic activities for a hand over. Money that could be used for healthcare, school, feeding programs.

Some of you don’t even understand that if we cut our government waste, Nigeria becomes more easy to govern and half our problems are solved with prudent leadership.
