At first, seeing Kobojunkie’s lack of activity for two days made me feel he was on a hunger strike. He is the type who would create comments on Nairaland even on a deathbed. People who have used this forum since he opened an account know very well he doesn’t take breaks of any sort. When I realized that he logged in occasionally yesterday and even till a few hours ago without commenting, I knew Seun performed the inevitable.

As much as I despise the poster for spending every minute of his life in this forum, I know very well he isn’t abusive, rude or abrasive. He drops comments contrary to commonsense in a bid to while time. In real life, he faces anxiety issues. Surviving in the real world is challenging. That is why he prefers an online existence where he can live as a confident debater — which runs contrary to his timid real life, skittish personality.

Seun, the man did not abuse you. All he wanted to know was why his account was banned in the Islamic section. There are established trolls I see in threads there every Friday causing a ruckus. Nothing happens to them. Kobojunkie is sharing knowledge (stirring unnecessary debates in my eyes), but he does not insult Islamic beliefs. The least you or the moderator can do is give an explanation which he would understand and continue with life. Till I type, it hasn’t happened.

Unlike him, I can abandon this forum anytime. I have done it before. I can do it again. A decade-long ban will only free me from visiting here routinely. Of recent, you have shown the fear of losing high comment posters. Still, you choose to disrespect us and our opinions any chance you get.

Kobojunkie should be unbanned. He did nothing wrong. He deserves an apology and an explanation.

Since Nairaland became Seun’s Nairaland which he alone enforces with his spambot, the forum has left a bad taste in my mouth. Every pointless ban I receive from typing my opinion expedites my decision to pack up and leave. It will happen soon.
Kobojunkie seems to be a lady

Last I checked, Kobojunkie was a human being.

He is a she. She is not a he. I don't have 1 more character to complete the gender.

Why is the OP using "HE" for a "SHE"?
Kobojunkiee is one of the oldest posters on his forum, and I put it to you, that "SHE" is not a "HE"! cry

2 rules broken already

19. Don't use alternate accounts to access Nairaland after being banned. If you do, make sure we don't find out.
Sounding as a third party when you are the same person already exposed you

20. Complaints to or against moderators must be sent privately. Please don't disobey, disrespect, or defame them.
You could have directed your epistle to the mods privately not by creating threads to accuse them

Why Stifle kobojunkies opinions if nl is opinion based. opinions doesn't have to appeal to the other party it's an idea and most times established facts.
Re: Deleted. by meobizy(op): 6:37am On Mar 24
This is Seun’s forum. We have to bend to his whim. People do not change. He gave me an equally tough time in 2011 based on censorship. With his bot, he’s doubled down on his biases, claiming the bot is emotional.

Spot on! Have you been banned after this write-up cos it's typical of nairaland these days to get rid of positive comments.

Why don't you unban him yourself? nonsense!

Atleast let that person go and get a life outside this forum. when you spend alot of your time online it affects you physically and you become drawn from the real world.

Re: Deleted. by safarifarms(m): 4:05pm On Mar 24
While I didn't notice the sudden absence of the source of one of the irritating nairaland comments, I personally think its a relief.

I wish it extended to the APC data boys that keep defending nonsense on the forum with irrational comments.
Re: Deleted. by Goosethetruth(m): 5:19pm On Mar 24
Kobojunkie is actually an irritant. She is the kind of person that can start an argument with herself inside a phone booth. She is deliberately controversial and argumentative. She is annoying and deliberately negative. However that does not mean she is not entitled to her opinion and freedom of speech provided it is not libel.
I hereby lend my voice in calling for her freedom. After all everyone is responsible for what they post on Nairaland.
@Seun, please look into this and reconsider if you can. lipsrsealed

True.

She is deliberately controversial and argumentative. She is annoying and deliberately negative.
True again.

However that does not mean she is not entitled to her opinion and freedom of speech provided it is not libel.
100% fact.

I hereby lend my voice in calling for her freedom. After all everyone is responsible for what they post on Nairaland.
We have seen repeatedly that this is not the case. Why do moderators edit, delete, hide and ban posters for their comments? I modified my signature to reflect that I am not responsible for my comments since Nairaland screens whatever we type and approves what they feel is required.

As for Kobojunkie, on a regular day I would laugh and say he got what he deserved, however he did no wrong before catching a ban. Seun should explain himself to us or the poster since it is now obvious that Nairaland should be geared towards whatever he wants displayed.

Our opinions created this forum. If they are silenced, Nairaland will not last more than four days. Seun knows it.
Re: Deleted. by meobizy(op): 8:26pm On Mar 24
Arguing about politics is the lifeblood of the forum. Silencing the trolls will never happen. Seun sees their banter as “engagement.”

Update: Seun has returned the thread. Time to delete mine. At least revealing the man’s greivance is a step towards resolution concerning the matter.
