Don't care what you call it.. We won't have an Igbo" calling himself "The King of Eastern Cape." I reiterate, take that thing you call King back where it belongs. certainly not gonna be apologetic about that. The time for political correctness is over. You have TikToks of Nigerians living in SA openly insulting South Africans and calling us names..and we must toe the line because we don't wanna be labeled "xenophobic" f..that
Hopefully you realise that the person you are arguing with is not representative of all Nigerians.

This same Eze Ndigbo BS has caused problems in the land of other tribes in Nigeria so welcome to our world I guess.

Igbo people are good, hardworking people for the most part, it just so happens that a few make a lot of money and start wanting to be labelled what they are not. They also care less about the concerns of the local populace and much like the person you are arguing with, start playing the victim card when you challenge them.

A real shame.

Don't worry, after you visit and come back we will see you at Mama Chinyere's bukka eating ofe nsala and pounded yam narrating how you escaped the Tsotsi's over there.
I have people there oga...

You really think he cares about your explanation.

When will people like you learn that most people in this world default to their most innate primordial instincts when it comes to issues like this.

Keep wasting your time.

Whether or not that poster cares, I have said my piece.

The South African poster should not only have to read your opinion on the matter at hand, especially when it is a poor defence of what is happening.

Not just poor sef but a minority opinion.

It's their land and they don't want an Ndigbo King or Eze Ndigbo, in any shape or form, accept and respect it or leave their land and go to places that do.

Every immigrant community all over the world has elders that represent their interests in the community they chose to settle, those elders don't need to identify in the "Regal" manner some are trying to do which causes problems.

It all needs to stop.

How did you determine that it is a minority opinion?

I would refer you back to the communique by the Union of Nigerians in South Africa for clarity. If you read it and don't understand, there is nothing I can do for you.

What "Regal" manner are you refering to, Please expand?

Was the occasion broadcast on national Television?

Was there a public announcement of the ceremony?

Did they invite South African dignitaries to attend?

SMH in bewilderment.

Stop calling yourself Kings, installing yourself as one, wearing crowns and robes, sitting on thrones, you are nothing more than an informal community leader, keep it at that.

The aborigines abhor such, respect their wishes or leave their lands to go and do such elsewhere.

Read the room! Stop claiming everyone is xenophobic or hates you!

You are here solely defending the nonsense and riling the South African poster even more with your nonsense defence of rubbish, who benefits from that?

Accra, Akure and Ibadan to name a few, we have had two factions of people claiming to be Ndigbo and looking foolish as a result because the local rulers have had to suspend it until it's being resolved.

Please refer to video below for your answer. This is the usual internet South African bru haha. Investigation will be done. Nothing will come of it.

Much ado about nothing.

I would refer you back to the communique sent out by the Union of "Nigerians"...not Igbos in South Africa. If you cannot comprehend what was written on it to clarify their stance then I cannot help your tribalism.

If you care to watch, your so called "Regal" ceremony is no more than an "Owambe" night party by a group of socio-cultural Igbo groups who came to celebrate their culture. Facts don't have feelings.

Final one from me on this.

The locals don't want your Eze Ndigbo BS, get it out of their lands.

Facts over feelings.

You said nothing.

There is nowhere in the video they hail that man as a "King", in fact the comments reiterate that he is not one and his sole responsibility is to preserve the culture in South Africa which is not against any law that I know of.

The event was in a small hall full of traditionally dressed individuals and refered to as "symbolic" far from any "Regal" event.

When confronted with facts and interrogated, people like you start to reach all over for anything to make sense.

This is wrong to lump a whole tribe like so. There are some bad apples as can be found in every other tribe.

You can do better.

Let those of us that were well brought up let it show, allow Obidients to continue regaling us with the spectacle of showing how badly brought up they are.

Terrible event. Not representative of our culture and needs to be purged. Look up every comment on any Nigerian news outlet for condemnation.

Meanwhile your media is fanning the flames of Xenophobic propaganda.
