Even marrying in your tribe can be a problem. Ẹgba and Ìjẹ̀bú, Oyo and Ibadan, Ondo and Ọwọ, Ifè and Ìjẹ̀sà, Esan and Benin (different tribes I know but pretty similar), Awori and Isale Eko etc.

It's nothing to do with Nigeria not being one.

I suggest you marry someone you have known for a long time, sadly once you are in a relationship with a woman for 6 months nowadays, the pressure starts.
