Oando owned by Wale Tinubu acquired NNPC retail and got so many deals in the first 6 months of Tinubu's presidency to become one of the most valuable companies in Nigeria. Tinubu's business partner, Chargoury, is currently implementing over 18 trillion naira worth of projects under questionable procurement processes. Stop the projection already. Nigerians know the truth.

Firstly, NNPC Limited (NNPCL) acquired OVH Energy Marketing (owner of Oando-branded retail stations) in October 2022 to strengthen its downstream portfolio, making it one of Africa's largest petroleum retailers. The deal included over 380 filling stations, a reception jetty, 8 LPG plants, 3 lube blending plants, 3 aviation depots, and 12 warehouses. That was 2022 deal when Buhari Faction of APC, most of the Tinubu faction in the Government and PDP (excluding WiKE faction) collapsed together as one Party against Tinubu. The deal was a bailout to NNPC and OANDO undergoing different crisis. Left to Asiwaju, he wouldn't have allowed OANDO entered such deal.

With regards to Chagoury contracts, is there any indigenous consortium that have track records of handling such projects at competitive pricing and under high quality with warranty? None. Apapa Oshodi Gbagada Expressway is a major road to Seaports and Airports with high vehicular traffic and heavy trucks and machinery movement. The road was a calamity and nuisance creating chaos and crisis and frustrations for decades with repetitive repairs but no solutions. After IBB repetitive repairs without solutions, ABACHA government abandoned it for years turning a major road to eyesores. OBASANJO carried out major repairs repeatedly but no solution.

DANGOTE came with Tax relief using HITECH Construction of Chagoury group to do Concrete reconstruction work. Since then, that was the end of decades of frustrations and nightmare on that road. In Victoria Island, Lagos, they saved VI and Lekki and Ajah from being submerged by Atlantic Ocean. They are indigenous consortium that have no place to go other than Nigeria. If such contracts are given to Julius Berger you will still complain that it's because of Mike Adenuga

Atiku has more knowledge as what pls? Atiku has never worked in oil and gas industry. Be an ex VP does not give you information about yhe OPL, he was never a minister of petroleum. Obasanjo, Yardua , Jonathan were all petroleum minister during their tenure as president.
Tinubu worked in oik and gas , retired as treasurer of Exxon mobil. Do you know what it means to get to that hight level at multinational. Now he is the president and minister of petroleum. He has far knowledge about the opl.

OPL stands for Oil Prospecting License. It's a license granted by the government to explore and produce oil and gas in a specific area.

In Nigeria, OPLs are typically granted through a bidding process, and they give the license holder exclusive rights to explore and produce oil and gas in the designated area.

This particular OPL issues has veen lingering sunce 1990s.

ATIKU has interest in the Oil Deal, most people with insiders knowledge about the deal know ATIKU is one of the principal actors in the crisis because of selfishness.
In 1998 before the death of ABACHA when Dan Etete was Minister of Petroleum the OPL was sold to Malabu . When OBASANJO came to power in 1999, different interests put pressure, by then ATIKU was the Vice President and always available for business transactions while OBASANJO just coming out of prison was busy traveling and on economy policies. In 2001 while ATIKU was the Vice President the Licence was revoked. In 2002 while ATIKU was the Vice President the Licence was transferred to Shell Deep Offshore. Those of us that know ATIKU and how powerful and influential he was at National Assembly and in the business communities during OBASANJO's first term and early of the second term know such deal cannot passthrough without ATIKU's interest.

We know that ATIKU is driven not by patriotism or objective reasoning, but by undisclosed and self-serving interests but those closer to the DEAL knows his interest.

1998 to 2026 is 28 years. Nothing can stop the oil field again. ATIKU is now the Spokesperson and godfather of the interests he claimed were excluded in the resolution.
