He hasn't said anything new......he only stated the obvious.....only obidients keep deluding themselves that obi will beat everyone.

I am just wondering the excuse that Peter Obi will give to his supporters on why he would degrade himself down to running mate of Atiku because that is where his ambition is tilting to.
As an Obidient, I differ. Obi will never be a running mate to anybody. Those proposing this are hallucinating. He was in Kano recently and some people had already concluded in their mind. They'd continue to guess in vain

As usual, history repeats itself again no thanks to the greed and desperation of an Atiku that wants to be president by all means necessary!

He is the reason why PDP are at the point of death and it will be no different when he emerges as flagbearer for ADC!

One thing is sure,if it's between Atiku and Tinubu at the polls in 2027,the margin of victory that Tinubu will record against Atiku will be so wide and disgraceful....it will finally force him into retirement!

ADC have the opportunity of not following the footsteps of PDP!

+ An Atiku / Obi Ticket is the best option to confront Tinubu. Because as things are, it's almost impossible to defeat Tinubu, if they make the mistake of splitting the vote again then they have not learnt anything. The best chance is to unite.

Even then, it will still be tough. It's almost impossible to defeat a Tinubu sitting as president.

If consensus does not work, with direct primary left as the option, if Atiku and Obi goes into the primary, other powerful politicians in the north especially Kwankwaso will work for the emergence of Obi and Obi will win the SE, SS, SW and NC easily.

Verdict: Obi will defeat Atiku to win the ADC.

He will likely pick Kwankwaso as his running mate.

That will be the beginning of 2027 election.

What will happen in the general election is left to Nigerians and INEC

NOTE: With this combo, ADC will win majority sit in the Senate and House of Rep and a lot of Govs (Yusuf of Kano, Sherrif of Delta etc.) will not win reelection

So what happens after Buhari’s men gives him the ticket ?

Will he get more votes than sowore got in 2023 ? Or are you new to Nigerian politics or speaking out of your hatred for a particular candidate?

Anyways , bad governance favours my business , so I don’t care about your choice at the polls

Just keep rewriting the future of your kids
Listen to yourself, your assumption of anything against Peter is anti Nigeria doesn't sound insane to you?
I careless if Peter gets ADC ticket. He is a politician and whatever other title you want to attach to him which means he is also corrupt in his own way.
Just here to engage intelligent discourse and accommodate intelligent opinions.

Peter Gregory Obi
Much Ado About Peter Gregory Obi by Tony Ademiluyi

Some political analysts described Peter Obi as the third force in 2023 at the height of the Obidient movement. How did he take a hitherto obscure Labour party and make it into a dominant opposition party and even defeating the eventual winner, Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos State?

Some of his die-hard supporters alluded to his charisma; others said he had revolutionary ideas which would take Nigeria into the eldorado.

However, I firmly believe that charity believes at home. He came to national prominence in 2006 as the first politician to win gubernatorial elections at the courts and there was much expectation from his supporters to optimally perform.

What really did Peter Obi do as the Anambra State Governor? Despite the huge allocation and decent internally generated revenues at his disposal, he didn’t build more public schools in spite of the fact that public education was at an all time low in the state. While it is true that he embarked on road construction, the roads quickly degraded alluding to the fact that sub standard materials were used for them. Then there was a glaring conflict of interest in his use of public funds as there was a public-private partnership with SAB Miller where his family had some equity in the deal which in decent climes amounts to a criminal offence.

He had an utter disregard for local government administration and only allowed elections there in January 2014 on the eve of his departure from office. Heavy taxes were imposed on small scale traders with some of his alleged anti-people policies.

Civil servants and pensioners suffered as there were allegations of unpaid salaries and pensions which was said to exacerbate the hunger in the state.

He single-handedly installed his puppet, Willie Obiano as his successor simply because he was an Executive Director in Fidelity Bank – a bank in which he had substantial interest in. He allegedly tried to play the role of a political godfather which led to a public falling out.

In an investigative journalistic report by Premium Times, he was involved in the infamous Pandora Papers which he denied any involvement though the evidence against him was extremely damning.

I question his leadership credentials as he is yet to raise worthy successors after more than two decades in politics. How many of his minions have risen to the acme in their political careers? It is still about him since 2003 – how tragic as he has no defined political structure.

Is he really a man of his word? He swore to the late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu that he will never leave the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). He not only left APGA, but went on to move to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party, and now the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Why can’t he stay in one party and build it from scratch rather than being a political LovePeddler? The so called obidient movement that he hurriedly cobbled together has since crumbled since his cowardly defection to the ADC. He even said recently that he isn’t even sure of getting the ADC ticket. What then happens if the ticket eludes him? Will he defect again? His knowledge on national and global issues like climate change, global finance, terrorism, diplomacy is extremely shallow a pointer to his not being a team builder who could give him advice. He is nothing short of a rabble rouser who appeals to emotions rather than reason. Why couldn’t his public support for the ADC translate into electoral victory in his native Anambra State in the last elections?

I hate to be the bearer of unsavoury news – Obi is nothing short of a well packaged scam who will completely expire in 2027.

Over to you time!

Their headaches.

What matter most is are Nigerians really tired of all this recycled good for nothing leaders? Our answer to this on election day will determine if we are tired or it's just another case of Stockholm syndrome.

Most if not all of our leaders are failure doesn't matter the political parties they all belong to.

Nah the same excuse your tinubu will give for seeking reelection despite not providing constant electricity as he promised.

Now run along.
Nigerian politicians are largely conscienceless! They very rarely do as they say or offer good governance. However, we the people have not sufficiently shown that we are tired of bad governance otherwise we would have been calling for an Osinbajo, a NOI and a Shehu Sanni for President. These are people among others that we have in Nigeria who are sure to offer good governance.

ottersberger:
Atiku cannot win against Tinubu. To be clear, a ticket from the All Progressives Congress (ADC) without Peter Obi at the top renders the coalition project DOA. Period!
He does not have the numbers to win overwhelmingly or the manpower and resources to defend these votes, should he receive them.

If any of his coalition partners were to run under an alternative platform, his ambition would be rendered null and void. Alhaji Atiku should have learned this in 2023. However, as we have seen with Tinubu, age does not necessarily equate to wisdom.
We have also learned from the 2023 election, it would be energy for energy, good for good, bad for bad, toxic for toxic. Na madness dem dey take cure madness.

If God willing Tinubu wins and anybody decides to go on rampage, the full constitutional powers of our institutions and security forces will be brought to bear on culprits. Some Nigerians will vote for Tinubu and other Nigerians may vote for the opposition. Any unsubstantiated claim of rigging should be treated as a serious threat to the security of the nation.

Gunayo:
If Obi/Kwankwaso run under a different party, and Atiku emerge as ADC candidate, Atiku performance will be worse that his outing in the last election.
Both Atiku and Obi's performances will be worse than their last outing if they run separately. If they join forces is only when they can give Tinubu a run for his money. They will still lose though but close.

Thank you for your attention to this matter
