Private Nursing Schools In Nigeria – My Honest Experience After Visiting 4 (2026 by Stanna2025(op): 7:25am On Mar 28
I’ve seen a lot of people asking about private nursing schools lately, so I decided to actually visit a few myself instead of relying on hearsay.

In the past 2 months, I checked out 4 different private nursing schools (won’t mention all names yet so this thread doesn’t get biased or attacked 😅).

Here are a few things I noticed that many people don’t tell you:
👉 Some schools have fine buildings but poor clinical exposure
👉 Some are cheap but not properly accredited
👉 Others will promise admission but delay you for months

But I found one that actually surprised me…
Their environment was very organized
Students I spoke to seemed confident and well-trained
They already had structured clinical postings (which is rare)

Their admission process looked more transparent than most
Not saying it’s perfect, but compared to the others I saw, it stood out.

I also noticed many people don’t even know what to check before choosing a nursing school (this is where most mistakes happen).
If you’re serious about studying nursing in Nigeria this year, don’t rush it.

I can share: ✔ The list of schools I checked
✔ What to look out for before applying
✔ The one I think is worth considering right now
Just drop a comment or ask, I’ll respond based on what I saw myself.

There’s one school in Rivers State that actually explains all these things clearly on their website. Just search “St Anna College of Nursing Sciences admission guide” on Google — you’ll see it.
That guide alone opened my eyes to things most applicants ignore.
At the end of the day, don’t rush because of admission pressure. Nursing is too important to gamble with.
