A video circulating online has shown the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, at the All Progressives Congress (APC) national convention held at Eagles Square in Abuja.

The footage captured some women gathered in a straight line as they moved towards MC Oluomo to collect their own share of the money.

The NURTW President, dressed in an APC outfit, counted wads of cash (N3,000) and distributed them to the beneficiaries during the event.

NewsRegion cannot independently verify what the purpose of the money was for as of the time of writing this report, but it is alleged that it is for mobilisation fees to attend the convention.

Meanwhile, there was confusion during the APC national convention in Abuja as party members scrambled for safety.

According to circulating footage, supporters of the APC who attended the party’s national convention were seen fleeing and gasping for air after security operatives fired tear gas at the venue.

My heart bleeds,this is what they have reduced Nigerians to,they have institutionalized begging.
They weaponized poverty to their own gain,imagine a Motor park agbero sharing 3000 naira to able bodied men and women.
They next time,they will share them mudus of rice. This is evil!

Just so you know, some of these people collecting money will vote for Tinubu for free, or will vote for anyone who gives them money. They don’t believe in leadership anymore.

This is why you need a national movement that restores the hope and confidence of the people.

While I am fully Obidient and hope that PO leads that movement, there’s no strong opposition yet that brings confidence to the people that they will be in charge.

I am laying it bare out there so PO team can roll out a plan soon. Time is running out. No sugarcoating.

That is not weaponizing poverty,that is teaching dignity of labour but unlike your principals in Abuja,they make sure there are no dignifying jobs for these people,they turn them into political thugs or 'data boys' like you and they rest,they share rice for them.
