Absolutely, we are left with two options - the direct primaries and the consensus - and for us we are trying as much as possible to adopt consensus approach because that's the least costly for us given that the delegates/indirect primaries is no longer on the table so we are left with those two options, and for us, the best case scenario is to be able to engineer a consensus and that's what we are working on.Bolaji Abdullahi Interim National Publicity Secretary, ADC

Atiku is going to be the presidential candidate of ADC. You all should know this and know peace. |
| Re: Atiku/Obi/Amaechi: ADC Working On Consensus For Presidential Candidate - Bolaji by Richtaiwo(m): 11:12am On Mar 29 |
I honestly hope the ADC ends up choosing Peter Obi. If that happens, Tinubu might as well ask Shettima to start preparing his inaugural speech for 29 May 2031. |
| Re: Atiku/Obi/Amaechi: ADC Working On Consensus For Presidential Candidate - Bolaji by Lifestone(m): 11:18am On Mar 29 |
They should do Obi/Kwakwanso. That combination will change the entire political landscape. North and South East alliance was what we know historically, what changed? |
| Re: Atiku/Obi/Amaechi: ADC Working On Consensus For Presidential Candidate - Bolaji by fergie001(mod): 11:19am On Mar 29 |
Lifestone:They will lose before 2pm....no be chais! Kwankwaso is a Kano man, outside there he is like a fish out of water. |
| Re: Atiku/Obi/Amaechi: ADC Working On Consensus For Presidential Candidate - Bolaji by Lifestone(m): 11:23am On Mar 29 |
fergie001:That combination will spark momentum that is currently absent. ADC needs a spark. My take though is that opposition lost a massive opportunity in 2023. |
| Re: Atiku/Obi/Amaechi: ADC Working On Consensus For Presidential Candidate - Bolaji by DeclanR(m): 11:24am On Mar 29 |
What of Kwankwaso Na? We already know Atiku is your flaggy The north wouldn't want to be running mates in 2027 under ADC. They would rather continue with Shettima under Tinubu and wait till 2031 to regain power. OBI would lose support if he accepts to play a second fiddle to anyone. |
| Re: Atiku/Obi/Amaechi: ADC Working On Consensus For Presidential Candidate - Bolaji by seunmsg(m): 11:24am On Mar 29*. Modified: 12:07pm On Mar 29 |
Lifestone:Realistically, how many states can that ticket win? The North already have the VP so offering them what they already have cannot give momentum. It will get some traction in Kano and no where else. Even in Kano, the ticket can’t get as much votes as Kwakwanso got running as president under NNPP in 2023. ADC has a big dilemma. Give Obi the ticket and the party will collapse in the north. They are mobilizing into the party in the north on strong northern sentiment. They simply want the presidency back. Give Atiku the ticket and the Obidient movement backing the party in the south will go very cold irrespective of who is the VP candidate. It will be a bit better to salvage if Obi is the vice presidential candidate. If it is Amaechi or another southerner, the party will collapse completely in the south east which is its base in the south. |

fergie001:it's easier for Kwankwanso to get votes from the North than Tinubu. |
| Re: Atiku/Obi/Amaechi: ADC Working On Consensus For Presidential Candidate - Bolaji by fergie001(mod): 11:25am On Mar 29 |
Lifestone:Opposition parties don't need spark, they need numbers. Where are the numbers? Is Obi ready to run with a man who has been publicly indicted by the United States? |
| Re: Atiku/Obi/Amaechi: ADC Working On Consensus For Presidential Candidate - Bolaji by Wasky101: 11:25am On Mar 29 |
These greedy men working on consensus? Dey play. Once Amechi doesn't get the ticket he won't work for the party case study (2023 elections) Once Obi doesn't get the ticket, Obidients will desert Adc. If atiku no get ticket his off to Dubai case study 2007-2023. |

Lifestone:Wonders never cease. Who is now forming an alliance with the South East? Do you mean the same Northern Nigeria, or perhaps the northern part of the South East? Have you finished insulting them already? |
| Re: Atiku/Obi/Amaechi: ADC Working On Consensus For Presidential Candidate - Bolaji by Ofunaofu: 11:26am On Mar 29 |
If these are the only options, then ADC should give us any of them, because to every Nigerian who is facing hardship, strife, rising inflation, worsening insecurity, and constant blackouts under the Tinubu regime, the thought of another four years is both scary and unimaginable. |

Two desperados will not allow it happen. Atiku won't back down, and Obi will be harming himself to back down. If Atiku could betray him the last time, why would he trust him again? None of them aren't my candidate, and Tinubu isn't. I think if ADC can solve this issue, and make Obi, Atiku, and Kwankwaso work together, they will be able to compete with Tinubu, and might likely win on a fair play platform. But una no know the kin person Tinubu be. Find Funso Williams grave and ask. Before that, Akere Bucknor and Femi Pedro still dey alive, ask them. Then, siddon with Bode George, and you will understand. Don't go far, ask OBJ who that nigga be. Of course, Dele Momodu sabi Tinubu very well. Good luck to y'all |

Kwankwaso will gather more votes in north against what outsiders are thinking Obi will have more votes in south west against what some people are thinking Obi Tinubu policy caused unbearable hardship.we go collect rice and vote for obi/kwankwaso |

That will be good for their party Everybody should be on board after the party, not that some people will Japa after the primary didn't favour them. We want the combination of the current people in ADC as opposition, let them test their popularity in Nigeria |

Anybody thinking that Obi will bill in the ballot paper does not know anything about anything. A smart and intelligent thinker knows long ago that Obi will not contest. Pushing Obi to even contest is madness to me because you all knew what happened in the last election when they contested separately and yet some of you still want that. Na wa ooo. |

Mandate1:Where and where has he been getting them? A Tinubu who got votes than him as a Candidiate and is now incumbent? Nah ....don't play! |
| Re: Atiku/Obi/Amaechi: ADC Working On Consensus For Presidential Candidate - Bolaji by Evanderbright: 11:30am On Mar 29 |
Like someone opined ADC need a spark and most importantly numbers Obi can’t win north, most especially north east and northwest They are not ready to vote for a christain yet, they will rather endure tinubu for another four years. Obidients will rather allow tinubu win than vote for an atiku. APC will run on the propaganda machinery of “it’s the turn of the south” and it will resonate especially in the south west In the south south, we know political gladiators control elections over Thera If Obi is not on the ticket, the independent voters that are south southerners will rather sit the election out South east will be plagued with severe voter’s apathy if Obi becomes vice to atiku giving way for south eastern governors to do their abracadabra for tinubu. Seriously we are stuck, if Obi and atiku can’t get an agreement to work with each other. The only ticket that stands a chance is Atiku/Obi with atiku coming on live TV to declare he will do just one term. |
| Re: Atiku/Obi/Amaechi: ADC Working On Consensus For Presidential Candidate - Bolaji by Lifestone(m): 11:30am On Mar 29 |
seunmsg:Opposition election is about momentum. Not sure if that will give them the Presidency but may lay a good foundation for Kwakwanso in 2031. I think in all directions, the 2027 election is already cooked for APC. The space for opposition to gain that momentum is daily going as they continue to be undecided. But that combination is still the sure bet. Any Northern name on that presidential ticket is Dead on Arrival |

fergie001:Indictment? That can easily be sorted through diplomacy if that ticket succeed Sparks brings excitement and numbers |
| Re: Atiku/Obi/Amaechi: ADC Working On Consensus For Presidential Candidate - Bolaji by Tenses: 11:35am On Mar 29 |
tinubu miscalculated again. You know a sitting president seeking reelection has automatic ticket. His calculation was that adc will never adopt concensus in their primaries. Since there is no more indirect primary the only option for adc is direct primary. tinubu was hoping if the direct primary were to be adopted, it will put the adc in disarray thereby destabilising the party. |

Mandate1:Get votes from which north ? Tinubu and atiku had more votes up north than Kwankwaso in 2023, I honestly don't know whether it's delusion or just ignorance that is making you guys on social media make unrealistic assumptions Tinubu can't loose in 2027, the numbers are there for all to see but it's OK, keep deceiving yourself. |
