"Even Buhari?" Tinubu is not Buhari. He has no organic voters anywhere, not even in the Southwest or in Lagos. Buhari had 12 million Northern voters that were with him until the day of his death. Tinubu won with 8.3m votes and 5.6m out of this were Northern votes, thanks to the likes of Elrufai. Again, Tinubu is not Buhari.

There is no ticket without Atiku that can defeat President Tinubu.

And there is no ticket coming out of ADC that wouldn't have Atiku as presidential candidate.

Per the bolded, why is he in ADC then, why hasn't he forged his own path?

He backed the guy in Abuja who lost, he backed Akpata for gubernatorial elections, he lost woefully. He backed someone in Anambra who lost. That isn't expanding support significantly.
