Police Begin Investigation As Federal Hospital Staff Dies Of Suspected Suicide In Umuahia

The body of a junior staff of Federal Medical Centre, FMC, Umuahia, Mr. Ikenna Onuoha has been discovered in a bush path along Amaeke-Isiadu area of Umuahia North LGA of Abia State.

Onuoha, said to be a jovial and dedicated staff in FMC, Umuahia, was last week found lifeless at night.

The shocking discovery created panic and confusion among his wife, relatives, friends and colleagues in Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia.

Confirming the development to DAILY POST, Abia State Police Command said preliminary investigation it carried out indicated that the hospital staff ‘suspectedly’ committed suicide’.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of Abia State Police Command, DSP Maureen Chinaka told DAILY POST that the attention of the Command was called to the incident, making detectives from the Command to visit the scene and take photographs.

“There was no sign of marks on his body. The body has been deposited at the mogue for preservation, and autopsy.

“But preliminary investigation showed that he suspectedly committed suicide.

“However, investigation is ongoing; the public will be updated on conclusion of investigation”, Chinaka said.

He doesn't know how to tackle problems....

First he isn't financially stable and went to marry he ce putting pressure on himself

Second, he should not fear debt, I know it's the implications at his work place that is his problem.. he should have gone to get loa using his salary.. ND use it to b settling debt.. shared among all of them..

And beg them that small small he will pay back...

There has to b a plan.. u dnt go kill urself over debt..

If u know my level of debt, ND number if ppl owed, Ugo faint.. but since two years , I am working on all of them ND brought it down drastically...

He isn't a ma with a string heart at all

I'm owing like six or even seven loan apps. I don decide say every year, I'll be paying two apps till I settle all my debt across all apps. if them like make them call me taya. Can't come and kee myself. Afterall Federal govt dey owe.
