Because he did not have the overwhelming power of the presidency (which comes with control of INEC, Supreme Court, Police, Army).

In other words, apart from abusing power by using INEC, Supreme Court, Police, Army to rig the election, he will have no pathway to victory. Thanks for letting us know but it will be resisted. Be there!

What about them? Okowa was an incumbent governor and Vice presidential candidate but he failed to deliver his state in the presidential election.

They’re not boasting because their candidate can win a free and fair election, they’re boasting because they expect Bola Tinubu to use state power to grab it, snatch it and run away with it like an electoral bandit

Step down for who? Seems you guys don't learn. You don't play politics with emotions. Only ticket that can stand a chance with Tinubu is Atiku Obi, any other tickets is an effort in futility

There is no conviction here Mr Atiku. It's just men with selfish interests. You destroyed your own party since 2003 and you are talking about conviction? You and Obasanjo both left the PDP. Your principal tore his card, you made people leave PDP because you didn't get the ticket. There is no conviction here. The only conviction is to take power from Tinubu.

If you were so sure of the conviction, 2023 would have been easy for you all. Add your votes together and tell me how APC would have succeeded. In order of desperation, you have been the most desperate, followed by Kwankwanso and Obi.

Aside Obi and Kwankwanso, no other politician has been able to prove themselves ALONE outside the establishment.

Obi has the brightest chance going by the last election result followed by Kwankwanso. I choose these two because they left PDP and did not have the structure of the regular party, which Atiku benefitted from using the PDP platform. You also have to look at the time they had to test themselves between the election primaries and election.

If you want to know what that means, Ribadu ran the Presidential election in 2011 under AC and failed with that party structure. Obi and Kwankwanso have been able to test their popularity as candidates outside the regular establishments and done well. Both had no Governors in their party before contesting and pulled a good number in the last election. Buhari used his CPC to bargain with AC to get the Presidential slot in APC. Buhari could say whether he used ANPP or CPC, he could gather votes. I'm not so sure Atiku can do that. He was a presidential candidate of the Action Congress in the 2007 presidential election coming in third to Umaru Yar'Adua of the PDP and Muhammadu Buhari of the ANPP. Atiku came a distant third in that election with less than 10% of the votes.


Obi and Saraki/Kwankwanso

A Saraki will be a difficult campaign for APC that has defaulted to using tribes against themselves. Saraki ticks two boxes of Yoruba/North Central who have been looking for relevance since Gowon.

Here is the stats of the declared winners since 1999. Mr Bola Ahmed tinubu was not a popular president elect

A United opposition will defeat tinubu before the election begins. With a wiiiiiiiiiiiiiide margin. There is no need to argue about that.

The clouds are gradually gathering and it will definitely rain cat and dogs.


Tinubu that ought to be serving jail term was honored with a Presidential seat and he failed to use it to make a name for himself by being a sincere, kind, empathetic, unifying leader but he chose to be a divisive and tribalistic leader that just want only his region and tribesmen to remember him for shortchanging the rest of Nigerians for them, God forbid evil!!!

Governors are not the electorate.

All of a sudden, Kwankwaso is now a papaer weight politician because he no decamp to APC..dey play

Kwankwaso had the choice to join the winning team but let himself get deceived after demanding for VP slot from APC.

I wish him well but I don’t see the play with ADC. Unless he plans to go to the senate and become senate president. He will now be counted among desperate party hoppers. His political best years are now behind him.
