You spent 20days You are lucky, try and do THANKS GIVEN to your creator.... A lot of inmate there, spent years for this similar case of yours, you claim you know nothing about...Court free you cos you have no, COMPLAINANT with WITNESS.. That's why the magistrate discharge you and acquitted..The first day you went to court you have a very close adjournment date..You don't hear stupid excuse from the warder telling you there's no fuel to transport you to court..Or court it's not opening...If all this SHOKO excuse come out ,Omo you miss you adjournment date and stay in prison more than month or beyond.. Your mum prayer really works while you were there..CONGRATE KID..One day for prison be like 1months.. Sorry Gee..Good evening Nairaland family. I’m Saleslourd some of you know me from my threads, but today I’m telling EVERYTHING. From before it all happened to how I got here. No lies, no exaggeration just my life exactly as it went down. Before Yaba, before the trouble I was already hustling. I’d help people find winter wears at the markets and get commission from the shops. It was a new market back then, not many people knew about it, so I was the go to guy for anyone looking to buy. I also ran errands, carried loads you name it, I did it. We called ourselves ‘Osa Yia’ Igbo for hustlers, from what I know. Then my world changed. My dad passed, and my mom was diagnosed with diabetes foot ulcer her left foot was decaying, she couldn’t walk anymore. It all fell on me. I was 19, naive, but I’d do ANYTHING to make money and take care of her. Nothing devilish just work hard. One day, a man I knew a regular who always paid me the best called me over. I just got this shop he said. I don’t like the roll gate, want to change it. Help me carry this old one away I’ll follow you I said yes he’d never let me down before. The gate was heavy iron real work to carry. I was sweating, focused on not dropping it, when someone tapped me from behind. I turned, annoyed and the next thing I heard was ‘YOU’RE TAKING THIS WHERE?!’ I spun around to point at the man who hired me but he was GONE. Vanished into thin air. I tried to explain A man paid me to carry this, he wanted to change his gate! But they wouldn’t listen. Immediately they claim doors had been missing from the complex for weeks, and I was the one stealing them. Then the beating started. People I’d had misunderstandings with, guys who wanted to hire me but I said no because of how they acted they all joined in, chanting ‘THIEF!’ They dragged me around the market, everyone taking turns to hit me. By the end, my face was so swollen I looked like a Chinese man couldn’t see straight, could barely talk. They took me to ‘Iya oja" at her trust shop. She looked at me like I was the worst criminal alive and said I should be taken to Area C police station. She even followed us and paid the police to make sure ‘justice was done’ said I was ‘against the government’. There was no escape. Nobody would help me. After 3 days in the station, I was charged to court. I was shaking so bad when they called my name. I’d never been in a courtroom before. The prosecutor and police officer called me a ‘long-time criminal’, said I’d been stealing gates for months. The judge asked me what I had to say – I had no lawyer, my mom couldn’t make it, so I defended myself. Told them everything exactly how it happened and pleaded NOT GUILTY. The case was adjourned, and I was sent to Ikoyi Prison with no bail option. I spent 20 days there.[/quote] |

As you dey mention Egusi, some may think that it's the Egusi dey usually eat at home..As u take mention terrified for beans likewise everything is terrified also...Beans,just like 5 full spoonfull with much water irritating..The Egusi u talked about is ISHAPA made with soya beans..No oill or salt,in every shit they called FOOD.. Evening Garri sef you chop ham,na sand you go chop..What a terrible place to go to just for a day..I can never pray for my enemies to experience such situation...It's only churches that some inmates reply on..If not for the church kindness people go dey die everyday..Since you have no visit or contact to send you 1k to guild...Nobody fit show you love, cry your own cry,for country no vex, where ant dey rule elephant... Nigeria prison it's not meant for only criminal... Innocent plenty pass Criminal... |

| Re: I Was 19, Beaten To A Pulp & Thrown Into Ikoyi Prison For A Gate I Didn't Steal by Kalulu44: 7:02am On Mar 30 |
QuinQQ:He failed the spelling. It's "Oso Ahia" market hustle or just hustling |
| Re: I Was 19, Beaten To A Pulp & Thrown Into Ikoyi Prison For A Gate I Didn't Steal by Kalulu44: 7:04am On Mar 30 |
Saleslourd:You are right but the correct spelling is "Oso Ahia" |
| Re: I Was 19, Beaten To A Pulp & Thrown Into Ikoyi Prison For A Gate I Didn't Steal by Kalulu44: 7:13am On Mar 30 |
QuinQQ:I think he exaggerated the one room thing. There's no way a room can accommodate 50 people talkless of 364. I have stayed in a cell of a police station for some hours. A cell room could only accommodate 53 of us but we were squeezed. I think he meant to say a hall |
| Re: I Was 19, Beaten To A Pulp & Thrown Into Ikoyi Prison For A Gate I Didn't Steal by Kalulu44: 7:22am On Mar 30 |
Saleslourd I am so sorry about your previous predicament. Thank God you later got a redemption and doing fine now. And also sharing the story as a lesson. But there's one thing I want to disagree from your story. There's no way 300+ people can fit in a room. Except you're trying to say a hall. I once stayed in a police cell for some hours, we were 53 people cramped into a room with no space to move our bodies or legs. So there's no way even 100 people talkless of 300 people can fit into a normal standard room. I will like you to expansiate on this. |
| Re: I Was 19, Beaten To A Pulp & Thrown Into Ikoyi Prison For A Gate I Didn't Steal by QuinQ: 2:01pm On Mar 30 |
Kalulu44:He obviously meant a very big room - which is all a hall is |

| Re: I Was 19, Beaten To A Pulp & Thrown Into Ikoyi Prison For A Gate I Didn't Steal by Saleslourd(op): 6:04pm On Mar 30 |
Area C police station the station that accommodated me on arrival Aka, waiting room of judgment For me no one came with reasons |
| Re: I Was 19, Beaten To A Pulp & Thrown Into Ikoyi Prison For A Gate I Didn't Steal by Kalulu44: 6:42pm On Mar 30 |
Saleslourd:Forget police cell or prison here, we are talking about a room here. A room is a room whether be it in a normal station cell or prison. The biggest of rooms can't contain 100 people and I am standing my ground on that. So you still need to explain that but you stylishly dodge the question |
| Re: I Was 19, Beaten To A Pulp & Thrown Into Ikoyi Prison For A Gate I Didn't Steal by Kalulu44: 6:47pm On Mar 30 |
Saleslourd:Lolz! You can educate me on the experience of prison life and I won't argue with you. But you can't educate me about how a standard room we all know about can fit in 100 people talkless of 300+. Just say it's a hall and not a room. Even a standard parlour/sitting room can't contain that amount of people. You need to correct this notion and not educate. Waiting to hear from you |

| Re: I Was 19, Beaten To A Pulp & Thrown Into Ikoyi Prison For A Gate I Didn't Steal by Saleslourd(op): 7:51pm On Mar 30 |

Yes na there be thire base after mass rade by police. (Another matter we need to talk about because that facility is mostly from such situation honestly. If you leave in Lagos don't dear try sleeping outside especially in some areas |
