Nasir El-Rufai Has Been Taken Back To Custody By ICPC Officials by Vixlot(op): 2:56pm On Mar 31
BREAKING: Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has been taken back to custody by ICPC officials, following an earlier administrative bail, which allowed him to attend his mother's burial.

El-Rufai, who was earlier today at the Kaduna State High Court and the Federal High Court in Kaduna, is expected to know the fate of his bail application hearing tomorrow as the federal high court adjourned his bail application to Wednesday.

Re: Nasir El-Rufai Has Been Taken Back To Custody By ICPC Officials by Richtaiwo(m): 3:03pm On Mar 31
The law makes no allowance for personal emotions, accordingly, the suspect should not have been released in the first instance. There are fundamental and well-established grounds for the detention of a suspect, none of which had been nullified.

However, since the authorities decided to humanize the law by permitting the influence of sentiment, the proper course of action would be to return the individual to custody immediately following the conclusion of his late mother’s burial rites.

Is his offense not bailable? Why are they treating a former governor like a common criminal because he's criticising powers that be?

So you are suggesting that, because his offence is bailable, he should be released even before being formally granted bail? Or is there some other point you are trying to make?

To be released later, its obvious a political solution has been sought to his predicament consideringall we saw during his mother's burial......nigerian politicians are very terrible people you should never trust with your emotions......who could have thought obi would be rolling in the mud with the criminal structure he once claimed to come to uproot....who could have thought?

Imagine an ordinary Nigerian defending a criminal. Shouldn't you be happy he is treated like a common criminal? I'm sure if it were a former governor like Fayose that is treated as such, you will be happy and jumping from one comment to another opening your 32 teeth

Yes, I am an ordinary Nigerian today, but hope to get there someday. Hence, I insist the right thing be done. That's why we have laws; we aren't just a bunch of animals living in a zoo - even zoos have dos and don'ts

Seunmsg is on the other thread playing the pity card on Tinubu's inability to curb insecurity. Meanwhile, here is Tinubu abusing federal powers on opposition figures while bandits and other criminals are roaming free.

I have echoed the same sentiment. The Government f....up big time. I even called for the resignation of the person who approved his release in the first place and then the sacking of the icpc Chairman but if the order is from above then oga at the top is power drunk to give such order.

This whole episode is vexing my spirit honestly.

This Obi paranoia is getting to dangerous levels. Was it Obi that grant him bail or did Obi charge him to court? The FG needs to increase security around Obi because any of these misguided and brainwashed zombies might want to unalive him thinking it will make him a hero
Obi is fast becoming the Trump of Nigeran politics

are you saying he was a formal criminal? Because he was part of that system for many years so he lost his right to criticize the system he helped build.

Don't kill yourself because of Nigerian politicians. This just shows you that your heroes don't think like you. They r just prying on your emotions and using your head
