In under 3 years, Tinubu has approved or sought approval for well over $40 billion in new borrowing, with the latest $6 billion request filed today. Nigeria's Naira-denominated debt has grown by roughly N45 trillion since he took office. The country is spending more on debt servicing than on capital projects and in January 2025, zero naira was recorded as capital expenditure while nearly N700 billion went to debt service that month alone... how can any sane person vote or campaign for this government? can you run your company or business like this?

All these loans and subsidy proceeds yet nothing tangible to show for it, instead insecurity, multidimensional poverty, corruption is now the order of the day. What a wicked and evil administration

Yep, as expected from the government and the party that promised diversification but did not deliver diversification.

Plus, for those asking for oil windfall, remember that 80% of our revenue comes from oil. Government revenue. Remember also tha toil prices until this last month have been low, and most of the windfall is going to pay the resulting debt.

SO, we got to face reality, fight corruption, actually fight it, tax more of the gdp and also...also, diversify the economy and make it an economy reliant on manufactured goods and services.

When Tinubu asked Jonathan to resigned due to insecurity challenges back then, why can't he do the same now that it seems worse..... Someone please come and defend him let me hear your reason(s) if any?

My point is why take away subsidy when they are still going to keep borrowing? You must be benefiting from this government to not see anything bad in this excessive borrowings.

There is no way you can run govt without borrowing.....60% of the revenu you make is going into debt service, you are only left with 40% in that you have to fund your recurrent and capital obligations.....whats left? It's only by borrowing you can balance up your deficit.....govt has said you need to start paying taxes you cried that no you aren't paying..... how the hell do you think govt will get money to run the country.

6 billion and crude oil is heading to $120 per barrel, even with the loan we are paying back we should not even be borrowing much at the moment.

They need to state clearly what the want to use that money for......crude oil is heading to$120 per barrel and the government is giving vague reasons for borrowing that money.

At the moment why shouldn't they borrow to build more oil and gas infrastructures on the rest oil fields.

This is the only thing he and his cohorts know. Borrow from all corners of the world while your citizens are being murdered on a daily basis.
