House of Representatives has passed the 2026 Appropriation Bill of N68.3 trillion.

This includes the additional N9 trillion added by President Bola Tinubu to the N58.4 trillion budget proposal he presented to the joint session of the National Assembly in December last year.

90 percent of the budget is LOAN. Tinubu said once subsidy is gone, we shall have more money, but we have more debts. This budget will extend to 2029. grin

Where dem dey lead this country into ehn...they just want to make sure there is no hope for the future generation.

They wan finish the country kpatapkata. When 70% is being embezzled after distribution, how can the effect of growth and development be obvious.

Even campaign money for 2027 has been factored into this money.

Always looking for every means to retain more power as if they've been making good use of the initial power given to them.

Your point of view is not clear. There is a limit to which the economy can carry at any year. The govt has been borrowing. So spending cannot be on the scale of south Africa.

A big joke. We can't fund this budget. This is the same issue we had with the 202 budget. At the end of the day, we have to transfer 70% to the 2026 budget. So, why come up with another bogus 2026 budget that we won't be able to fund? The Executive proposed about N58trillion I think, why jack it up to N68trillion? Even the N58 trillion is based on unrealistic assumption of 1.8 million BPD. So, on what projection are they basing the N68trillion budget on?

What's the essence of budgets in Nigeria when they record 70% non implementation? Government doesn't follow What's in the budget, if not even with all the trillions Nigeria would have seen tremendous development.

It is based on the unprecedented revenue that has been accruing to govt due Tinubu's magic. Abi how can you say revenue has improved by over 300% yet you don't want budget too to grow? Where will all the revenue improvement go to?

FG will actually generate more revenue than budgeted. The Israel/Iran war has made the price of crude oil to exceed the $68 per barrel used in benchmarking the budget. Crude oil is currently selling over $100 per barrel, which if it continues FG can actually make trillions of naira from the excess crude.

But the real question is, will our government use the money for the benefit of the masses?

At what production level? We budgeted for a production level of 1.85 million barrels daily. As at today, we are producing around 1.4 million. So, where is the excess you’re talking about? Can we even meet the projected revenue not to talk of getting excess?

Audio budget that will only see 40% implementation. Out of that, a major chunk is to fund campaigns. We just dey deceive ourselves for this country
