To say that RMK actually lost to Mallam Shekarau during PDP glorious days of
'do-or-die' politics, when every form of election irregularities was allowed, says
a lot about his current political strength in Kano, especially with the defection of Governor Kabir Abba.
He needs to be on the ballot as a Presidential candidate for him to have any hope of galvanizing his base for relevance.
