But the list is balanced nao.

SW usually have better business metrics right from time (Lagos-Ogun-Oyo recently axis) and we have other southern states on there with some Northern states like Kaduna/Kano.
Bro, everyone knows this for a FACT!

Still, certain individuals will still see this post as a huge slight.
Re: States to do business Vs States where doing business is difficult - StatiSense by erad(m): 7:30pm On Mar 31
This one's will just be releasing stupid statistics up and down.

What are the metrics used to come up with the list? Ease of transportation? Access to state-financed business loans? Access to constant power supply? What exactly were the metrics used?

Asides availability of potential customers and cheap labor, there's nothing else to warrant lagos coming first.

Trust Nigerians to start arguing over nonsense without asking the necessary questions.

The first three states were all former capitals, that’s why they’re the top 3. Make one SE state federal capital and see wonders
Yeah
Kaduna was a former capital na.

That's how you guys will be feeding the next generation with excuses instead of results.

Which easy. Is there light 24/7. Are roads free from hours of traffic jam nonsense statistics
Have you been to Dubai? If you ever witness Business Bay traffic for once, you'll never complain about Lagos traffic again.

Traffic is inevitable in a mega city like Lagos, just that it is not well regulated here which makes it more annoying and stressful.

Thank you, I stayed in Enugu for a while and I never saw much of commercial activities there, infact it's a state so boring, he omitted Abia, omitted Anambra, Rivers and Delta and is puting even Ekiti there I just laughed cos I've been to Ekiti too I don't see much of commercial activities there, he should just dump this trash away.

Why Lagos is toping the list is because of sea ports.
Nothing More than that

Delta state is a very low side for business gains.
You will always be counting shortages at the end.
jmichael259:
Delta hard for business ke? I didn't know o.
Which types of businesses sef are they talking about?

FCT should be at number 8 or 9 if at all it's to be deemed as easy environment for business.
Re: States to do business Vs States where doing business is difficult - StatiSense by Love800(m): 10:50pm On Mar 31
The community youth system(agbero/touts), and local councils killed businesses in delta state, especially warri.

Some set of people will wake-up and decide not to work, only to be extorting hardworking nigerians of their hard-earned wages.
Hemanwel:
Can you imagine Delta State, an oil-rich State, being among States where it is difficult to do business in Nigeria. When will Deltans ever get it right in choosing the right person to govern them? Is it a curse??

Delta State is supposed not to be in the negative list, aje!

Re: States to do business Vs States where doing business is difficult - StatiSense by U09ce: 11:29pm On Mar 31
This is a good metric and should encourage competition among states. But I have noticed a gap in the ease of doing business survey. I think it is skewed towards ths big guys who set up factories and bring investments. In the states topping this list, you'd be shocked to see the SMEs struggling with multiple taxation and even extortions which do not mostly apply to large enterprises. When government embark on projects that affect SMEs like roads lasting several months , they are never compensated for the loss incurred which drains or even kill some of them.

The only industry that strives in Rivers State is politics and " who goes you". Those two business ventures are interwoven. Everything is centered around them. Even if World Bank invests $200B the Hons and " Senior Men" would litter it. What a crying shame 😭😭

Akwa ibom is not even close to the list, the reason is that, since the albino fever happened to akwa ibom, everything has gone down the drain.

I know Delta State will always be on the bad side .. Place where government allows non state actors to collect unnecessary tax indescriminately from businesses as far as even paying to private accounts..Big shame to leadership we have

Enugu state is a state people should focus on. That governor is doing fanatic. Their IGR and other metrics seems to be improving too.

Ogun should gun to be in top 3.

I am not surprised about Osun and Ondo being in lower 10, their governors are misfits

The truth is that there is nothing like data collection in Nigeria ..what indices was used to come about this result .statisense is at best guesstisense...my reasons ? how can you tell me Kaduna trumps Kano or Abuja in doing business, textiles, breweries industries closed , the state is only relevant as a back yard of Abuja , it's even so bad trailer drivers refuse to come due to unfriendly tax environment and no load to take back on the return journey.
This is just a poor guess work and nothing statistics about it
