I mentioned this even two weeks before now and I'm glad it has finally happened.

He will go down history as the worst power minister Nigeria ever had. The guy looted enough funds in order to enhance his gubernatorial campaigns. It's quite sad that he's the next Oyo State governor cos I can't see GSM getting it for his anointed successor

Penkelems is a Mess.

How will a Banker even be minister of power?
I know some will argue that there's nothing wrong in that, but come on, it matters a lot.

Imagine The current ADC spokesman, Abdullahi Bolaji as a former sports minister and Solomon Dalong. These two have no passion for sports and knew nothing in their roles.
How about Fashola a lawyer, and minister of power?
A minister of education who has no knowledge about How education can be improved upon and who never studied any education related courses.
Square pegs in round holes
Your points are valid.
Circle fits in a circle hole
And square fits Ina square hole.
But this is Nigeria they just appoint themselves to come and eat.

No wonder. Seems the money meant to maintain light for the past 6 months was pocketed by him so as to fund his political ambition when he leaves office.

You shall fail by God grace for putting the whole nation in total darkness when you know fully well that you never have any good intention in PBAT's govt.

But we can so messed up in this country. Assuming these guys deliver on their mandates, maybe one will not be saying this.
Buy how can an Ibadan man replace an Ibadan, and countless Ibadan men are gearing up to replace the incumbent.
This is in a state wheryou have other sub groups like Oke-Ogun and Oyo and Ogbomoso
Even though it's not right but so many factors made it to be.
Unless another Also Akala scenario plays out it will be difficult to achieve.
Also what may give a glimmer of hope is if local government is given full autonomy from the state government, then the process can start from bottom up.
But the kind of political game we play in our clime and the extreme lopsidedness of Oyo state with other peculiarities it will be difficult, although it's not fair

Minister of darkness resigns.
His being there didn't even make any sense, No impact at all. I wonder what he intends to do in Oyo. undecided
If he cannot perform as power minister, neither would he be able to handle oyo state affairs,he should just go and relax with the money he has gotten from his failed ambition.

Adelabu is an idiot. The billions of naira he stole can not purchase election for him like his mentor BAT did in 2023. He will lose woefully by the grace of God .

I feel your pain but Politics is a game of numbers and Ibadan has 2/3rd of the state population
Even if a governor will come from another zone it will be with the approval of the ibadans

Re: Adelabu Resign As Power Minister, To Pursue Governorship Ambition by kayusely70(m): 4:40am On Apr 01
Though his tenure was probably the worst in the power sector, the problem in that sector is deep. According to Joe Ajaero, the NLC president, it needs complete overhauling. The buck now lays on the table of the president and the National Assembly on how to reform the sector for efficient performance!
Re: Adelabu Resign As Power Minister, To Pursue Governorship Ambition by Sensiblerealist(m): 4:50am On Apr 01
You are right. The entire Oke-Ogun vote does not match that of Akinyele LGA. To produce governor from another zone Na by the benevolence of Ibadan people. Sad but true

Good news eventually. He came and terrible bad news start coming from Nigeria power sector. What was worse before he came got extremely, over 100% worst. Olodo

If you allow this Failure to win Oyo governorship it will be the beginning of backward on all the progress Oyo state have enjoyed under SM.

From his face you'd know he doesn't know anything. His look tells he's the kind of man that likes faaji, women and high position. He doesn't look intelligent or a visionary man

But it's just as fair for him to push for his ambitions... At least to give it a trial.

Oyo people should outrightly reject this man who intensified Nigerian electricity power problems.
