As of January 1, 2026, there are new regulations you need to know:

NIN Linkage: Your betting account must match your NIN exactly or your money will be trapped.

5% WHT Tax: If you are in Lagos, 5% is now being deducted automatically by LIRS.

15% PIT: For big winnings over 800k, there’s an extra tax bracket.

I found a very helpful 2026 Betting Utility Hub called Giant Pluse that has a free tool to check your tax and a guide to fix the NIN withdrawal issue. It also has a clean booking code converter that works for Sportybet and Bet9ja without all those annoying ads.
