A 52-year-old woman, Titilayo Akindele, was arrested by the NDLEA in Edo State for selling "loud" (a strong type of cannabis). The court granted her bail, but NDLEA refused to release her. She complained of poor health in court and to the agency, and begged to be taken to hospital. Her family even offered money for medical care, but officials refused. Yesterday, she collapsed and died during court proceedings in Benin City.

Is the phrase "Yoruba drug dealer" necessary at all or you just want to fan embers of tribal exchange on NL? Crimes do not know tribe or boundaries. Let's jointly condemn any act of criminality.

Your headline is mischievous and misleading. She was not convicted of the offence before her death. An accused person is innocent until proven guilty.
