Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamu Aliyu, has begged Nigerians to forgive the ruling party.

Aliyu issued the apology during an interview on Wednesday’s edition of Politics Today which aired on Channels Television.

“Nigerians, I beg of you, please forgive some of our shortcomings,” he said. “Give us another opportunity to do better.”

“There are challenges, we promised a lot of things, we are trying our best. We need the cooperation of the opposition. Please continue to oppose us constructively for this country to be better.

“Nigerians to still have hope and confidence in us. We will continue to do better and we promise Nigerians again that we will ensure equity, justice and fairplay in this country.”

Aliyu’s remarks come in the wake of killings in several parts of the country by non-state actors that have wreaked havoc and displaced many Nigerians.

The country is finished. Nigerians can no longer compete with their counterparts in other countries in terms of locally generated income and progress. In 2008 when things were considered somewhat bad, if you earned N16000, you earned equivalent of $100. Travel was still affordable of you wanted to locally and internationally. Today it's different, N1000 then is equivalent to about N15000 today and the earning power has not moved much because people cannot afford basic things they need from their income.
At that time, an average cleaner would earn N15000 to N20000 equivalent of $100 a month which was poor but compared to this day a cleaner could earn N35000 to N50000 depending on where they are employed, that is equivalent to about $30 or less.
This analogy is spread over many platforms of our financial endeavor and more, affecting even the strongest businesses in its own way.

I am not understanding, but the APC said they are the best party and they have outperform in all sections & in economy, Tinubu's reform and renewed hope will favour Nigerians and Tinubu is the best thing that has happened to Nigeria, they have almost all the Governors at their disposal, they are majority in the upper & lower chambers, why begging Nigerians to give them a second chance.
