Bala Mohammed, governor of Bauchi, hosted Nentawe Yilwatda, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Abba Yusuf, governor of Kano, on Wednesday.

Mohammed held a closed-door meeting with both politicians at the government house in Bauchi amid his planned exit from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

On Tuesday, the Bauchi governor, while hosting some African Democratic Congress (ADC) leaders, said he had considered joining the APC with his supporters, but added that the ruling party was not open to accommodating him.

We have found ourselves in a very serious situation. I have done everything possible to ensure reconciliation, but it has not worked,” Mohammed said, referring to the PDP leadership crisis.

“We set up committees at both the national and state levels to explore all options, including even the All Progressives Congress, but sadly, we discovered that we are not wanted there.

“Our people are putting me under extreme pressure, and we have set up two committees, one in Abuja at the national level, because of my position as a leader of the party, and one here to look at where to go.

We left all our options open, including the APC itself, but certainly we have discovered that we cannot be where we are not wanted. We have to find a place within the opposition.”

Mohammed described the ADC as a preferred platform for him and his supporters.

However, his meeting with the APC leadership suggests he may be heading to the ruling party.

The APC currently controls 31 out of the 36 states in the country.

Yusuf Tuggar seems like the APC candidate so how will Bala install his own successor if he dey APC?

The man was one of the founding fathers of Sdp. Same with Ad and when he found out that Obj infiltrated the AD rank, instead of crying as these greedy desperados are doing today he founded AC and later changed the name to ACN and merged ACN with the other legacy parties which became APC today. Three or four parties he floated or helped to float from scratch. No hyjacking, no party buying on the shelf.
Can you compare him with those that either hyjacked existing political parties or buy parties off the shelf creating problems and disturbing our peace as they create problems for themselves as if na we send them work?

Seems there's no principle from any politicians again and Gov Makinde will be so disappointed.

Why would he join APC after completing the Second Term anyway ❓

Great job chronicling the commendable Political 'movement' of Tinubu that shows he is far and beyond his opponent and an embodiment of something non of them can ever be. I.e a supreme builder of leaders, processes, institutions, Political Parties etal.

Obi that Ojukwu dashed APGA nearly ran it into the ground with his divisive pettiness and deceptive nature.

Atiku is worse because dude has never cared about the fortunes of Parties he joins, to use for his selfish ambition, let alone take an interest in improving any.

If Nigeria were a nation where many are not emotionally, prejudicially and ethnocentrically attached to their side, most Nigerians would indeed admit Tinubu is a "Political God".

Totally agree with you about ADC. It is the worst opposition in Nigeria's history with how it is centred around the ambitions of a few Fulani born-to-rule supremacists and hegemonists, backed by some unprincipled and "gluttonous" Southern traitors, who feel they can threat the rest of us as slaves jettisoning the rotation agreement after South observed it meticulously in favour of Buhari and the North.

Whether Atiku's dishonorable ambition set Nigeria on fire or not is not the concern of the man himself and the many nefarious character behind him. The Alliance of desperate conspirators (ADC) will be disgraced.
