For those who don't know who benchers are:


Benchers in Nigeria are members of the Body of Benchers, a statutory body of distinguished legal practitioners established under the Legal Practitioners Act [4.3]. As the highest regulatory body for legal practitioners, they oversee the admission (call to the Bar) of new lawyers, uphold legal professional standards, and discipline erring practitioners

Composition and Roles

The Body of Benchers is comprised of high-ranking judicial officers (including the CJN, Supreme Court Justices, and State Chief Judges), Attorneys-General from the federal and state levels, and key representatives from the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA). Additionally, it includes the Chairman of the Council of Legal Education and up to 10 experienced legal practitioners.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the call to the Bar for new lawyers and enforcing discipline through the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC).

Members with distinguished service may be appointed as Life Benchers.

We must give them the national feeding bottles till they peme now as if the remaining 230milliin Nigerians come this world to watch Nollywood film or Messi. Na only dem waka come. If those guys nominate Adesina, Sowore, Okonjo and other technocrats and provide guidance i will take them serious but people who just left Buhari's Government after ruining the country and no single achievement are now repackaging themselves as the next good thing after sliced bread i won't fall for it the second time because the Bible says that affliction shall not rise again second time.

Tinubu isn't comparable to thise guys.....he was senator barely a year, gov 8 years and now president,he had a hiatus of 16yrs.....atiku was vp for 8 years,amaechi has been there now since 99 ,aregbesola was commissioner 8 yrs,gov 8 yrs,minister 8 yrs.....what differences were they all able to make?
