Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has encouraged Nigerians to regard the difficulties they face as something that will not only pass but lead to desired ends.

In a message of goodwill and best wishes to Christians as they celebrate Easter, Governor Fintiri urged residents to take the opportunity the Easter season presents to reflect on the suffering and victorious resurrection of Jesus Christ which signifies that even suffering has to come to an end.

“As we enter into this Easter Season, let’s remember that it is a season for sacrificing ourselves, the same season that Jesus was sacrificed for the sake of our sins and peace. He died for our healing and not for destruction,” Fintiri stated.

In the message passed to newsmen Thursday evening by his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, Governor Fintiri prayed that citizens continue with unity and oneness “so that we build Adamawa to become a respected state that the people are proud of.”

Fintiri urged Christians to spread love by extending a helping hand to the needy this Easter season in line with the love exhibited by the Lord Jesus Christ at the cross.

He encouraged all to translate faith and prayers into action, highlighting that religious beliefs should be shown in how people live and work together.

While wishing Christians happy Easter celebrations, the governor stressed that if people want to stand out, it should be through their actions and the benefits others gain from them.

“May this Easter bring you blessings, peace and joy,” Fintiri prayed.

Anyone who believes that Nigeria can get better for the next 50 years with these crop of leaders and those opposing them, you must be standing on a bale of cotton wool. The corruption of the country is rooted into 6 feet under the ground and standing tall to the third heavens. It will only take a generation of new species to restructure it and bring it back to glory. At this point, I won't mind an alien invasion or recolonisation. We all know that down to the youths of these generation, that greed and selfish interest is ingrained in them. So only fresh souls with a tabula raza mind can turn this country around. Nationwide revolution is unachievable because of the gargantuan web of tribalism and religious monster deep-rooted in the nation, else it would have been an alternative.
