By One Offering: Our Eternal Heritage In Christ

The foundation of our faith rests on the finished work of Jesus Christ. The book of Hebrews reveals this truth with clarity and power.

In Hebrews 10:14, the Bible declares: “For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are sanctified.”

This scripture unveils the completeness of what Christ has done. By one offering, not many sacrifices, not repeated rituals, but a single, perfect sacrifice, Jesus Christ has perfected forever those who believe in Him.

This means that the believer is not gradually being accepted by God through works or efforts. Rather, through Christ’s finished work, we have been brought into a state of perfection in God’s sight. This perfection is not based on human performance, but on the sacrifice of Jesus.

Under the old covenant, sacrifices were offered continually. Yet, they could not make the worshippers perfect. They only dealt with sin outwardly and temporarily. But Christ’s sacrifice is different, it reaches the conscience, cleanses from within, and establishes a permanent relationship with God.

Now comes the greatest heritage of the believer.
In Hebrews 10:17, the Bible says: “And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.”

This is the highest inheritance of everyone who comes to Christ and accepts Him as Lord and Savior.
God is not merely overlooking sin, He declares that He will remember it no more. This is not temporary forgiveness. This is not conditional acceptance. This is a divine decision rooted in the finished work of Christ.
To “remember no more” means:
1. God is no longer counting your sins against you
2. Your past no longer defines your standing with Him
3. There is no record held against the believer in Christ

Through Christ, we are not trying to be accepted, we are already accepted. We are not striving to be forgiven, we are already forgiven. We are not working to be righteous, we have been made righteous in Him.
This is the glory of the New Covenant.

Therefore, anyone who comes to Christ by faith steps into this inheritance. Not by works, not by law, but by grace through faith. And in this grace, we stand complete, perfected, and eternally secure in Him.

This is a GOOD NEWS!!!

You nailed it!! not by works but buy his death burial and resurrection, as death came into the world through one man's disobedience so also life and salvation came back through one man's Obedience, together with grace to live like him on earth, I want to believe that a known criminal cannot bail one in a law setting only a just person, God demonstrated his love by sending his only begotten son Jesus Christ to die for our sin fulfilling the just requirements of the law, paying the price and and wages of sin which is death, that as one believes in his heart and confess with his mouth that Jesus is the son of God and God raised him from the dead he too is saved. Glory to God

It's Good Friday... The significant day that commemorates the sufferings and death of the Lord & savior Jesus Christ for the salvation of mankind and reconciliation back to God our maker! 🙏

Bruised for our iniquities.
Chastised for the offense he didn't commit.
Crucified for sins of the world.
Mocked for our waywardness.
Carried a cross that was not his.
He was lonely; He was starved and He was refused water when He was thirsty. Just because of love and mercy He did all of these.
Today, we celebrate You. We acknowledge Your death on the cross.

Jesus, we love you and always will celebrate you.

The function of a nail is to connect and hold materials like wood together. Even some nails can go through concrete walls. Let's compare these to a nail going through a human hand. Easy pickings, isn't it? Though Christ was equal to God, he made it easy by surrendering himself to the death on the cross. Crushed for our sins and bearing our eternal burden to restore us back to God. Taking this deed for granted has grave consequences. This leaves us with only one choice. Acknowledged Christ as Lord and saviour from henceforth.(Luke 2:11, Matt 27:54).
