The way some of you comment on Nairaland, would make foreigners think Nigerians are generally dumb people. Have you even seen the topography of Iran as a country and how big it is? Any invading force is definitely going on a suicide mission. Even if America uses all their weapons against Iran, they can't defeat them in 48hrs. Not even in a week. Majority of their missile launchers are buried inside mountains that bombs can't get to. Today alone, they have confirmed loss of 2 fighter jets and 2 helicopters plus a very expensive drone...

On the issue of civilian casualties, the US/Israel has killed more civilians in Iran than Iran has killed in all the nations they have attacked in the Middle East currently and the nos are not even close.

Going to Iranian territory at this tense time to rescue a US pilot is no mean feat this are scenarios we watch in hollywood movies that's now replicated in real life. Better for the remaining pilot to commit suicide if he is still alive wherever he is hiding than to allow himself to be captured alive by Iranian islamic soldiers.
