It is not the same plane, this another plane an A-10 Warthog 'tank killer' that was shot down in the Persian Gulf near the Strait of Hormuz
The one you are referiTng to was an F 15 in the south west of Iran. This one is a second plane shot down the same day.
It is two different planes at two different places at two different times of the same day

That brings it to 5 aircrafts then because the one I was reporting was a C-130 Transport aircraft that was retrofitted as refueling tanker.

There was also 2 downed Black Hawks as well.

So just this totals 5 aircrafts lost so far.

The are sent specifically to do the dirty low altitude combats in this war. They are not stealth and it is expected that some of them will get hit by enemy fire.

US have extensive number of war aircrafts to be honest. By far the largest stock in the world. Don't think these loses will mean anything much.
