Exactly on 16th of March 2026 and before INEC took the decision not to recognize the David Mark led group any longer, ADC filed an appeal to the Supreme Court against the Appeal Court judgement. So, why did they appeal the judgement if it did not affect them like they are claiming?


Again on the 1st of April, 2026, ADC filled a motion for stay of execution of the appeal court judgement to the Supreme Court. So, why are they asking the Supreme Court for a stay of execution if no negative orders were issued by the appeal court against them?

Personally I’m a bit confused. Why is ADC doing everything to avoid going before Hon. Justice Nwite for a proper trial? The Appeal Court has given an order for accelerated hearing of the matter. My expectation was for David Mark’s group to quickly rush back to Justice Nwite’s court and argue their case for a prompt dismissal of Nafiu Bala Gombe’s case. So, why appeal a matter that has not gone to trial up to the Supreme Court? Why are they scared of a proper trial of the case?

Something is surely fishy and not adding up for ADC. That’s why they prefer propaganda to doing the right thing.

The way forward is anyone of the below 1. Withdraw the appeal at the SC and go and challenge the case of Bala at the FHC and prove that he legitimately resigned and that Okey Nwosu was legally competent to have handed over to David Mark and that it was in line with their party's constitution. 2. Revert back to status quo ante bellum as the CA has directed. Meaning handing over back to Okey Nwosu and other executives return to their previous posts. 3. Appeal to Bala to withdraw the suit completely. The 3rd is the best way out, but with the look of things, some powerful interests have hijacked the guy and he is not going to back down. Therefore, the only way out is to look for a new party to adopt because there are still 2 other cases before the court by other ADC members against Atiku and co
