ogododo:In layman's understanding. 2027 presidential polls begins on 13th April 2026. Why should my name be missing when it did not miss in 2023, did not miss in guber electiin my state just concluded. Why will it be missing all of a sudden in 2027? |

ExudeLoveToAll:pls tell me that you are kidding 😂, a whole 1 year is not enough for revalidation of voters cards exercises? Many people will do it online and only few will visit their office, how long does it take people to connect their NIN to their phone number the other time? If you like give Nigerian 20 years for revalidation many people won't do it until few days to the deadline. |

DeOTR:What exactly are you cleaning up. The last time they did that rubbish my voters card which was deleted. Prior to that, I use the card to vote, I even used it for opening bank accounts which banks verified. But was shocked when I now checked it on the INEC portal my details are no longer there, I have to go and register a new one. So they are simply disenfranchising people with the nonsense clean up after suffering to get the useless voters card |

One thing the APC and Tinubu fail to realize is this: the more they push their desperation to remain in power by making life harder for Nigerians and frustrating every tool for a free, fair, and credible election, the more they aggravate public anger and strengthen the determination to see them out in 2027. At this point, they might as well keep going, because every added frustration only brings that outcome closer. Nigerians are getting to a point where they’d rather vote for anything or anyone but you. If you like, remove every name from the ballot and replace them with a goat, people would still choose the goat, just to show they’re done with your policies. |

Macphenson:It is necessary in order to address persistent challenges associated with the national voters’ register, including duplicate registrations, underage registrations, registration by non-citizens, inclusion of deceased persons and incomplete or inaccurate voter records, which collectively undermine public confidence in the electoral process. |
| Re: INEC Commence A Nationwide Voter Revalidation Exercise by immaculatesense(m): 10:48am On Apr 04 |
portacabin:So, dead people should be left on the voter register? So that when the living goes to vote, the dead will be counted as part of low voter turn out. You are overwise No Be Juju Be Dat? |
| Re: INEC Commence A Nationwide Voter Revalidation Exercise by immaculatesense(m): 10:52am On Apr 04 |
ExudeLoveToAll:So, ten months to election is too short abi? Something that won't take you more than minutes on phone or at the location right( Let's wait for ages now before we do it just like census. This is the best time to do it cos some people will still die before election but still fewer or inconsequential. I advise this should be done every four years around this time exactly. Person wey wan cry should cry. No Be Juju Be Dat? |

U09ce:I don't use the phone number anymore. What makes this acceptable is the fact that you can do it physically and can also do it online. That is why I support the clean up model. It's not perfect but it's a great choice/decision. No Be Juju Be Dat? |
| Re: INEC Commence A Nationwide Voter Revalidation Exercise by immaculatesense(m): 10:58am On Apr 04 |
Uchesis:Was he the president in those years? If he conduct census now, you will also ask him why others did not do it? Someone must do it and he slchose to be the one. You have problems with that? No Be Juju Be Dat? |
| Re: INEC Commence A Nationwide Voter Revalidation Exercise by Denko2721987(m): 11:12am On Apr 04 |
immaculatesense:Does the dead vote?? Even the living isn't voting becos of the mistrust in the electoral process but they are worried about the dead when they haven't even made the process viable to attract the living.. How many people do you think will even bother stressing themselves for this again further creating more voter apathy.. Do u need to wait for a specific timeframe close to elections when everything will be stressful and congested for an exercise which should easily be done at anytime by logging into their website in saner climes to know those that are dead and those that are living ![]() |

immaculatesense:How will Inec know who is dead? Inec should focus on logistics challenges management, which is the major issue. |
| Re: INEC Commence A Nationwide Voter Revalidation Exercise by immaculatesense(m): 5:45pm On Apr 04 |
portacabin:If you don't revalidate your voter card, it is ASSUMED that you are dead. If you are alive, go revalidate, if not now maybe after the election. If you choose not to revalidate, we assume that your are dead (at least dead electorally of not literarily) Logistics does not affect the integrity of the election. It has never. Supposed voter aparthy does and that must be sorted. Logistics is an addendum. No Be Juju Be Dat? |
| Re: INEC Commence A Nationwide Voter Revalidation Exercise by immaculatesense(m): 5:49pm On Apr 04 |
Denko2721987:But you people count the dead when your analysis shows that 15% turn out during the election without factoring that the dead are also on the voter list. LETS CLEAN IT UP. BACK TO THE LIVING. If any living Nigeria is not interested in our election, why should their names be on the voter list or have a voter card in the first place? Let's clean up the system to know those who are really interested in the first place and let those people feature and vote. When the uninterested people change their minds in the future election, they know how to go and revalidate or reregister their names. MAKE WE SEPARATE THE DEAD FROM THE LIVING FIRST AND THEN SEPARATE ELECTORATES FROM THE UNINTERESTED ONES. NO BE JUJU BE DAT? |
