As long as his people is fine with his leadership, it's ok Nigeria is a good case study here. We’ve practiced democracy for years, but many citizens still struggle with poor governance, insecurity, and economic hardship. So it’s understandable why some people question whether democracy is truly working for them. That said, the problem may not be democracy itself, but how it is practiced. Weak institutions, corruption, and lack of accountability often undermine its benefits. If the people of Burkina Faso genuinely support Ibrahim Traoré’s approach, then that’s their reality. But history across Africa has shown that removing democratic structures entirely can create even bigger risks, especially around power abuse and lack of accountability. |

Tulumbu supporters will flood the thread to com as usual…. Yet Tulumbu their messiah and lord killed democracy in Nigeria…. At least Traore was honest to say that his country is not going with democracy…. Master of sophisticated region is the biggest fraudster in history |

Democracy is abused in Africa. The system of governments that will thrive in Africa is monarchical and autocratic system. |

sleek214:The most important thing is having a good leader at the helm of affairs making sure that the citizens are ok. Providing electricity, water, good health system, jobs and what have you and not a bunch of criminals we have in Nigeria parading themselves as politicians and wasting our commonwealth to organise a sham election at every four years without anything to show for it. In Nigeria, democracy is not the government of the people, for the people and by the people. It is a government of the criminals |

The children supporting military dictatorship don't know Africa history. Just like this idiot, Robert Mugabe Zimbabwe, Paul Biya of Cameroon among took over government while people of their countries are clamouring for change. People were rejoicing with expectations of fresh air. They had to destroy everything to perpetuate themselves in power. Democracy is a little better, OBJ, Yaradua, GEJ, Buhari yesterday, Tinubu today and another person tomorrow. |

So long as citizens are happy and comfortable with his regime, no problem, afterall a good junta is better than a wicked administration |
| Re: Captain Ibrahim Traoré Says Burkina Faso Must 'forget' About Democracy by Btruth: 2:46pm On Apr 04 |
I would say yes, if the junta boys keep improving the country economically. Truly, democracy is not working in West Africa. It only enrich the politicians and their corrupt cronies. |

Sometimes it's as if the absence of the military rule in African countries has given room for the politicians to destroy their countries in the name of democracy. Just look at the way Tinubu handles the insurgency in Nigeria. He has refused to take on the terrorists head long so as not to offend the north, in exchange for their votes to remain in power. Would the military rule allow terrorism to so flourish in Nigeria? . |
