Realguyman1:Either someone is has been lying to you or you are the one lying to yourself. At least the military regime was able to curb insecurity to it barest minimumThere were no terrorists or bandits problems in Nigeria at the time. If the military should start ruling Nigeria today, they can't make terrorism and banditary disappear like a magic. And they're corrupt too. and never imposed a sudden hardship on the people in the name of propaganda reforms or change that is not happening.During Abacha regime, people were sleeping at the filling stations for weeks because, no petrol. People were using sawdust to cook because they couldn't afford kerosene. People were using cassava peels to make cassava flour. How many parents could afford to send their kids to private schools like nowadays? |

maasoap:don't mind them. Instead of voting for good leaders, they decided that dictators are better. Africa has no hope. Honestly. I can't believe people are praising dictators . Africa has zero hope. The problem is the mind of the black man. Something is seriously wrong with the black race |

I am sure you will say kim Jong Un of North Korea is caring for his people too. Most of you are just anti west because you think it makes you special. Not because you are making any sense. |

maasoap:Being a despot is not a problem as long as the economic indices improves drastically. I'd rather live in a country that is ruled by a despot with improved living conditions than live in a democracy setting with extreme poverty conditions. |
| Re: Captain Ibrahim Traoré Says Burkina Faso Must 'forget' About Democracy by SeizeTheMemes: 5:43pm On Apr 04 |
HardMirror:Dictators don't have supreme power. They have a base of power that also has rules. An individual person can't just do something without the support from the majority of that base, Do you think Idi Amin can wake up one day and ask for a random person to be killed and his party will just say ok boss without asking questions? If the majority of his power base doesn't support it they will stop him and if he does it too much they will get rid of him. |

HardMirror:Products? Are you a child? The primary task that usually confronts leaders from Developing Countries is emancipation of their people from inherited imperialist policies that confine them to poverty and dependence. THAT'S THE FIRST STEP FOR ANY COUNTRY - ECONOMIC INDEPENDENCE. Without that, you're going nowhere. Trouble is, the African 'dictators' who try to do this usually get assassinated/deposed/sabotaged by western powers desperate to keep Africa dependent and subservient to them. But the tide is turning against the west.... This latest Trump madness in Iran, with the growing humiliation of the US as a paper tiger, is another sign of western decline, as 12 of the 20 fastest growing economies on Earth are in fast-rising Africa. |

We can disagree with him.. Yes.. But the truth is, based on historical facts... no western world was built by true democracy... Let me rephrase it... Non of these western countries that are touting democracy rose to prominence by true democracy... Where do we start? U.S.A? Slave trade, disenfranchise minorities... even before that, didn't they take out the native Americans by introducing diseases to kill them off and take their lands by force?? Etc..etc.. Belgium? Own one of the biggest diamond business in the world but theres no diamond mine in Belgium. Drained 🇨🇩 Congo's resources to build up Belgium, genocide in Congo and Rwanda? France? .what happened to sankara?? ( I dont know, just asking a question).. look at all the francophone countries in Africa and how France have leeched on them for years.. And the story goes on and on... China is surviving because of communism.. have China relied on true democracy, I dont think they would be this great as they are today... |

| Re: Captain Ibrahim Traoré Says Burkina Faso Must 'forget' About Democracy by Kushites: 5:54pm On Apr 04 |
maasoap:YOU ARE WRONG. Many indigenes who pose as innocent critics are backed by western powers and NGOs to sabotage progressive governments. It's actually why the west pushes so hard for Western style "democracy" in Africa. It makes African countries more vulnerable to their manipulation. CHINA DOES NOT TOLERATE WESTERN DEMOCRACY NONSENSE. They are a single party state, and it works for them. Their jails are filled with political prisoners who fought to have western democracy in China. |

maasoap:Firstly, explain to me how someone has been lying to me or me lying to myself? Secondly, the people who started terrorism and banditry in Nigeria wouldn't have dear it if the military guys of those days were still in power. The people who started terrorism and banditry in Nigeria saw the unseriousness in the so called civilian government and took the advantage to create their selfish and villainy ideology in which they themselves know they wouldn't have dear with the military leaders of those days. Yes, even if the military guys of this days takes over power, nothing will still change because the politicians has succeeded in compromising them and the people. Most of the top military commanders are as worst/even worse than the politicians and I don't see them doing anything different from the so called politicians. Thirdly, the Abacha regime has so many difficulties compared to other military regimes because he wasn't dependent to foreign aid or borrowing recklessly like the civilian government we have today, and there were no much private schools those days like it is littered everywhere in Nigeria today, the few private schools then were big schools that not everyone could afford even till date. Beside, if the government schools were ok there wouldn't be any need for a lot of people (especially the commoners) going through difficulties in other to put their children in private schools. |

maasoap:It's rare to see despots improv8ng the economy of their people. Africa needs either to break up into smaller national tribes for lack of better term or an iron hand pragmatic leader. Democracy just won't work well. |

Nigeria is a classical example of where democracy is not working. As far Burkina Faso citizens are enjoying during military rule, let them forget about democracy. |
