All the problems you guys experience here with Airtel is only on the ODU devices. Get your sims of that trash and get yourself a 4g router.

I personally use the X25pro and I don’t experience any downtime at all month in month out. Flawless network experience.

I paid for the ODU and when the installer came to install it, the device had issues (the whole experience just turn my belle)... Though i was refunded the 40k.

I think i will just stick with my 5G Smart box.... "The devil you know better pass the angel wey you no know "

Same here. Meanwhile had some very bad network situation today but thanks to band locking I was able to get out of that mess. may God bless whoever dropped that info here on this thread. Na the only way I don take survive most downtimes.

I use to be on band 7 which gave me 20mpbs averagely on the 5G Smart box but over time it became so bad, that i was struggling for 1mbps until i discovered band 1 gives me 15mpbs... In my quest to discover if others were having this issue that's how i came across this thread.

My Odu has been showing connected but no internet since 11:00 am yesterday and almost 24 hours now still no internet. I don't know if this is general or only me.

I do experience this type of problem once in while, all i do is restart the router or change the apn to manual or auto and it will start working again

Airtel don start rubbish. No 5G NSA on Band 3 again—na only 4G dey show for my area in Abuja. The only band wey get NSA na Band 8, and e no even dey work.

To me it's the most reliable. Because the results I get while browsing and downloading matches it.

Things seemed faster that day, I got higher mbps. Apart from that nothing much.

This is one of the reasons I will choose Airtel odu over MTN fiber and may b starlink, I will b in osogbo till Monday, I carry my odu with me, , this is d speed I am getting, I hang it for one Conner

Do U tink a portable router will give me odu speed and backup? . I am using the zlt it has a light weight.. so I don't have a problem moving it about .. even 4 hotel way I Lounge self , Alabama hotel, the hotel network I was given, I am getting max 5 Mbps, I hv to disconnect Dere network and collect my odu 😂😂

no, after buying U can do a Sim swap to physical sim

My second day in Osogbo using the Airtel ODU. I switched to 5G, but the network was weak. I got about 40 Mbps at first, but after a few minutes it dropped, so I had to switch back to 4G, which is stable and fast. Six devices were connected—four of them were streaming a Manchester City match—and there was 100% no buffering. I also got the highest upload speed I’ve ever recorded. If you’re in Osogbo, I don’t think using the Airtel ODU will be a problem

The ODU would have been a game changer if it was stable. Airtel are sleeping.

has airtel found a way to stop the ODU sim working on pocket mifi? my network since wednesday has been non existent and my devices are at the office so there’s no way to check if it’s a general issue with their network in my house.

I’ve been using my ODU for the past 5 months, and I’m really enjoying it. I wouldn’t say I’m a heavy user, but I’m definitely above average because I use between 900GB and 1.2TB every month—and it still serves me well.
If I were to rate it, I’d give it 80/100.
So what exactly is your definition of “poor” or “unstable”? If more than 7 devices can connect and about 4 people are streaming at the same time without any issues, then I don’t see the problem.
Please show me any 1TB data plan in Nigeria that costs ₦25k per month.
The network in Osogbo is fast—maybe it’s just my area, I don’t know—but this ODU has really made my stay in Osogbo enjoyable. It has made my work much easier here.
